Wade Robson Begged to Be Part of Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil Show

Wade Robson has become a driving force against the legacy of Michael Jackson and the singer's estate over allegations of sexual abuse, but he didn't appear to harbor those feelings when he was begging for a spot on MJ's highly-anticipated posthumous Cirque Du Soleil show.

In a letter, obtained by The Blast, Robson penned a letter in 2011 to Cirque CCO, Jean-François Bouchard, asking for a job in the new "Michael Jackson: ONE" claiming, "there are very few subjects I know about more than Michael Jackson."

Robson was apparently attached to the performance during initial stages, but bailed after he took a directing gig. When that didn't work out, Robson changed his mind again and asked Francois to allow him to choreograph the show.

Robson promised, "You will not have to worry about my commitment level again," claiming he had learned from his mistakes. He also stressed that he wanted to make the show "amazing" for the legacy of Jackson.

Robson, who participated in HBO's "Leaving Neverland," has constantly been challenged on the legitimacy and motivation of his claims against the Jackson estate over the years. Our MJ sources believe the letter, which was included as an exhibit in Robson's dismissed case, was evidence the choreographer was out for personal gain, even if it meant capitalizing on the memory of Jackson.

His feelings toward Jackson was in stark contrast to the allegations he later made when he filed his 2013 lawsuit alleging the late-singer molested him as a child. That lawsuit was filed in May 2013, one month before the world premiere of "Michael Jackson: ONE" at Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas.

As we reported, the Jackson estate has already sued HBO for $100 million over "Leaving Neverland," which premiered over the weekend, claiming a breach in a longstanding contract with the deceased entertainer.
