Hollywood actor and filmmaker Jack Nicholson has resurfaced for the first time in 18 months. In his most recent sighting, the actor appeared untidy in his Beverly Hills home, with messy hair and clothes.

Nicholson was last spotted in October 2021 sitting courtside and enjoying an LA Lakers game with his son Ray, who is reportedly one of the few people he keeps in touch with.

Before his most recent sighting, his friends expressed concern that he might pass away by himself because he seemed to have become more reclusive over the past year.

According to the Daily Mail, Nicholson, 85, was recently spotted for the first time in 18 months enjoying the cool of the day at his Beverly Hills mansion balcony.

The "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" star was seen wearing a pale orange shirt and sweatpants while leaning against his balcony railing that morning.

Nicholson had a noticeably untidy appearance; his hair and beard appeared to have gone untrimmed for a while, and his clothes were also disorganized.

According to the news outlet, the actor alternated between standing and sitting positions and, at one point, tilted his head to observe a helicopter flying overhead.

Nicholson was last seen in public in 2021 when he sat courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game with his son Ray, who looks exactly like him.

According to Radar Online, Nicholson's friends previously admitted that they were worried he would pass away alone like his late friend and neighbor, Hollywood icon Marlon Brando.

"He's made it clear his home is his castle. But people just wish he'd come out of the house and pop up to tell them how—or at least reassure folks he's OK," a source told the news outlet at the time.

The insider also shared that the "Carnal Knowledge" star has successfully maintained contact with his relatives, especially his son, Ray, but that he's given up on socializing.

"Brando died a virtual recluse after leading such a colorful life, and Jack's friends are drawing comparisons," the source divulged. "His kids will visit, but they're his only connection to the world."

"It's like he doesn't want to face reality anymore, and that's just sad," they added.

Per Radar, Nicholson, who reportedly quit acting because he'd often forget his lines, left his close pals thinking that his case might just be one of dementia.

In January, a source close to the actor shared that while he may be in good shape physically, "his mind is gone" totally and that he has retired to live his "sad last days" at his California compound.

"Jack and I have been friends for years, and he doesn't leave his house anymore... I think his son and daughter are looking after him now," a friend of his noted at the time.

He continued, "The Mulholland Drive community is pretty close-knit, and they are all worried about him." Physically, he is fine, but his mind is gone. It's really sad to see such a talented actor like Jack go out this way."

Tessa Gourin, the alleged daughter the actor fathered while having an affair with waitress Jeanine Gourin spoke out about their relationship. During a February interview with the Daily Beast, Gourin, 28, claimed that Nicholson was never interested in a relationship, and her mother would usually tell her "not to tell anyone that I have this famous dad."

"I knew he was powerful and Daddy Warbucks-level rich, so I kind of equated my life to being like Orphan Annie's," she said.

The New York-based actress told the publication that although the "About Schmidt" actor funded her early education, he was "never interested" in a relationship.

"When you're a child, you don't have a choice where you're going, so if your mom is pushing you on someone who's technically your father and he agrees to see you for anywhere between one hour and a couple of days, that's where you're going to go," Gourin said. "I don't know this person very well; we'll just say that."

The actor has yet to publicly acknowledge Gourin as his daughter.
