Relatives of Bob Lee can finally have a bit of comfort as authorities have arrested a suspect in the tech mogul's brutal stabbing!
Fear and grief plagued the residents of once-sunny San Francisco following the cash app founder's unexpected passing at the hands of a terrible killer. The entrepreneur was stabbed on April 4 while attending a tech conference.
The incident occurred on the street; a horrible crime carried out by a male suspect identified as a fellow tech executive. Keep reading to find out more about the businessman's tragic demise.
A Tech Executive Living In The Bay Area Was Arrested For Bob Lee's Gruesome Death
As revealed by Daily Mail, a tech executive named Nima Momeni has been arrested as a suspect in the Cash App founder's death. The 38-year-old Berkeley graduate was taken into custody by authorities at his home in Emeryville.
The businessman's residence was about nine miles from where Lee was murdered. Like the deceased, Momeni had ties to the tech industry as the owner of Expand IT, a tech business located in the Bay Area.
However, unlike the celebrated Cash App founder, the suspect's online bio described him as a "start-up entrepreneur." As mentioned above, Lee was stabbed in the street while visiting San Francisco for a tech conference.
At the time, it has not been revealed if Momeni was at the same tech conference as the deceased. However, the duo was spotted in the suspect's car around 2:30 am, moments before the entrepreneur was attacked.
Police sources believed the pair had some confrontation that allegedly caused Lee's untimely death. However, the truth about the terrifying ordeal remains a mystery. On the other hand, the suspected killer's neighbors and acquaintances claim the 38-year-old showed no signs of violent behavior.
Sam Singer, a public relations expert, revealed that Momeni lived and worked out of the 'high-end premiere loft' in the Beslar Building in Emeryville. When he moved in, Singer noted that the tech executive welcomed him.
"He was very, very welcoming, very kind," the entrepreneur declared. "He was quite, quite impressive, very nice fella, and so it's shocking to me as well as all the residents in the building that he's accused of the murder."
Despite the claims of his sweetness, the Expand IT founder was a likely suspect in the crime as Lee was attacked in his posh residential area. The tech mogul's death occurred around 2:35 am. The 43-year-old was discovered with multiple stab wounds following a police response to a 911 call.
Authorities were called to the 300 block of Main Street near the entrance of a high-rise building. Close to the waterfront, they found the father-of-two suffering from his injuries. Friends of the deceased confirmed Lee had been visiting the area for business, but he decided to stay back on the day he was stabbed.
Shocked by the tech executive's gruesome murder, Tesla CEO Elon Musk called out San Francisco's DA for failing to protect residents. He queried Brooke Jenkins about how she is working to "incarcerate repeated violent offenders."
Regarding Lee's demise, the billionaire said: "Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted. Violent crime in SF is horrific, and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately."
Horrific Video Showed Bob Lee Struggling To Find Help After Suffering Stab Wounds
Days after the tech executive's tragic demise, CCTV footage obtained by the news outlet captured the deceased's final moments. The father-of-two's life may have been spared if only he had gotten help in time.
The security video showed the 43-year-old desperately asking for help as he staggered around, clutching his bleeding wounds. Lee tried and repeatedly failed to get the assistance of passersby, who sped off in their cars, unconcerned by the figure flagging them down.
At the intersection with Harrison Street, the entrepreneur managed to stop a car and appeared to be begging for the driver's help. However, the unidentified red vehicle's owner drove off, leaving Lee to stumble toward an apartment building at 403 Main Street.
Before the former San Francisco resident could press the electronic intercom, he collapsed backward, presumably from blood loss. The cash app founder remained motionless on the ground before regaining his senses and fumbling with his phone.
According to reports, Lee managed to dial 911 and screamed, "Help! Someone stabbed me." Unfortunately, when authorities arrived, the tech executive could no longer be saved.
