R. Kelly Under Arrest After Failing to Pay Child Support, Taken into Custody at Court

UPDATE

5:30 PM PT -- R. Kelly has been booked and took a new mugshot.

1:36 PM PT -- R. Kelly has been taken into custody for failing to pay child support and is currently headed back to Cook County Jail.

12:25 PM PT -- The woman who posted $100,000 bond for Kelly, Valencia Love, has reportedly been subpoenaed and is present in court to discuss the payment, however her attorney claimed she was there for an unrelated case.

R. Kelly may find himself back inside a jail cell sooner than expected because the singer is facing an arrest unless he pays up over six-figures of back child support.

Kelly owes $161,000 in child support to his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, regarding their three children; Jay, Joann and Robert Kelly, Jr.

He had until Wednesday's court hearing to settle up, or face an arrest warrant for failure to pay. The child support case has been kept sealed, but portions went public due to Kelly's looming criminal case.

Kelly seemed composed when he strode into court especially considering his interview with Gayle King aired and showed the singer having a complete meltdown over the allegations of sexual abuse.
