R. Kelly still has supporters in Chicago, especially one man who refused to be silenced while the singer's publicist spoke to the media.
Publicist Darryll Johnson stood in front of reporters after Kelly was arrested for failing to pay child support, and while he explained what was going on with the R&B star, a fan of Kelly couldn't take it any longer.
First he walked through the interview shouting "Free R. Kelly," and when Johnson asked him to find another path, the man refused. He walked off camera and re-emerged in the background of the shot, yelling about how Kelly was receiving unfair treatment.
He then began shouting at Johnson, scolding the man for not proclaiming the singer's innocence, and demanding he get new representation.

As for Kelly, he'll take all the help he can get, as Johnson made it clear he's not getting out of jail anytime soon. The singer owes $161,000 in back child support to his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, and Johnson revealed he just does not have the money to pay.
He said Kelly offered to pay between $50,000 - $60,000 and even wanted to set up a payment plan, but the judge didn't care and remanded him into custody.
Johnson said Kelly will remain in jail until he's able to come up with the full amount.
