Melissa Joan Hart is conquering her biggest fears!

Beyond getting unveiled as the Lamp on Wednesday's episode of "The Masked Singer," the actress has revealed how being in the show helped her confidence. The "No Good Nick" actress ranked ninth in the top-secret singing competition after performing renditions of Bananarama's 1986 single, "Venus" and Elton John's 1972 hit, "Rocket Man."

Melissa Joan Hart Acknowledges 'The Masked Singer' For Building Up Her Confidence As A Singer

Even though she got booted off the series sooner than anticipated, Hart was happy to have been a part of it. Speaking to the on-set audience after her dismissal, the "God's Not Dead" actress revealed:

"This was something I wanted to do for my kids and myself. I wanted to overcome something. I have never sang in front of people before. It is terrifying to me. This was like overcoming a fear, and I did it, guys!"

The mother-of-three's words rang true to the audience as she had mentioned the same thing to PEOPLE before climbing the stage of the hit Fox show. After admitting to the outlet that she saw singing as her "worst nightmare," the King of Harts co-founder revealed that it was "probably the second time" that she "ever sang live in front of an audience."

Due to that, it was easy for her to feel "so nervous." Luckily, the use of masks in the show helped her nerves as it provided her with the anonymity that made her "comfortable enough to belt it out and get it done before anyone realized who I was."

She further detailed that being on the show landed her in an "uncomfortable place" that she had not visited for the longest time. It also helped Hart that her husband,  Mark Wilkerson, gave her the "best advice," which was for her "have fun with it." That tip was handy when the blond-haired celebrity donned the costume, restricting her movements and sight. In her words:

"My movement was very restricted, which was kind of a bummer because the thing I really am good at is moving and dancing. That's why I was hoping I have some fun with that, but the costume was a little restricting. I am not a claustrophobic person, but I got claustrophobic."

The Saturn Awards Nominee Regrets Not Dating Ryan Reynolds

In February, The Blast reported that the Young Artist Award winner opened up about not dating actor Ryan Reynolds when she had the chance in the '90s. The stars had met in 1996 to shoot the film, "Sabrina The Teenage Witch," which featured Hart playing the titular character opposite Reynolds' Seth — her onscreen love interest.

Reminiscing about the events that trailed their never-to-be romance, the "Clarissa Explains It All" lead told "Hey Dude… The 90s Called!" hosts — David Lascher and Christine Taylor — that they had "a little thing."

"I met Corky [Chris William Martin] in Utah, or something at a Nick Takes Over Your School [event], and we started phone dating from Vancouver to Orlando. And then I worked with Ryan Reynolds on the first Sabrina movie. The first movie we did, Ryan was in it," she began.

The "Kane & Abel" star then shared that she briefly dated Corky before her affair with Reynolds. The details of their short-lived relationship were previously addressed in her 2013 memoir, "Melissa Explains It All: Tales from My Abnormally Normal Life," where she admitted that their romance was not meant to be as she was dating somebody when she first connected with Reynolds.

Despite that, the "Touched by an Angel" actress had no problem chasing him down, getting in front of his car, and kissing him. The pair spent the night making out as the "Deadpool" actor, who was 19 at the time, had gifted her Bulova watch earlier that same day.

What followed was the Canadian-American hunk visiting her in New York to see if they could give what they had a shot. Unfortunately, the "Clueless" actress decided that she "was going to stick" with her then-boyfriend.

However, in 2017, Hart divulged that she regretted not taking the offer to become more than friends. Even though that relationship did not work out, the actress found another man who made her heart flutter, and she married him in 2003.

The couple shares three kids — Mason, Braden, and Tucker.
