Kathy Griffin didn't spend the Easter holiday as expected and is giving fans an update of how it went.

The comedian, easily recognized by her glowing red hair, has stolen hearts with her comedy specials since the 80s. With several accolades, the 62-year-old is one of the entertainment industry's finest acts.

Although her controversial joke about Donald Trump landed the actress in hot waters in 2017, the Oak Park native's devotees continue to stand with her. These admirers expressed concern after the stand-up personality shared a vague post about her health.

On Easter Sunday, the "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" star updated her Instagram page with a post about her well-being. The ginger-haired beauty shared a picture of herself at the hospital, preparing for an MRI scan.

In the image, the entertainer was seated in the medical facility, outside the procedure room. There were several warning signs posted on the door, alerting passers-by of the dangers in the restricted area.

Griffin did not appear to be at her best as she was wrapped in a white blanket with a black protective mask covering her nose and mouth. "Happy Easter???" the TV personality sarcastically wished her followers, "Getting an MRI."

Although the "Kathy Griffin: A Hell Of A Story" comedian did not reveal why she needed the procedure, the revelation caused an uproar in the comment section. Fans and celebrities left thousands of concerned messages, hoping the 62-year-old was alright.

The A-listers included "Hello Ross" host Ross Mathews, who showed his support by writing: "Sending you love!" alongside three red heart emojis. "What's up? Are you ok? Love you," the actress Rosanna Arquette chimed.

Meanwhile, TV producer Michael Hitchcock expressed his love with a string of red heart emojis alongside the playful comment: "When the MRI gets really loud, pretend you’re in a bangin' club. Sending love!" Hollywood veteran Sharon Stone seemed to understand why Griffin got an MRI scan as she confessed, "Got mine last week."

The "Hot Cup of Talk" star's MRI update comes a year after sharing her recovery journey amid her cancer battle. Per reports, the 62-year-old revealed she was on the mend following her battle with lung cancer. Taking to Twitter, the media personality documented her outing with pal Jane Edith Wilson.

In the video, the Oak Park native announced: "I'm gonna go on my first walk today since my surgery. I'm a little nervous." The Primetime Emmy winner was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2021 and underwent surgery to remove half of her left lung that month. The condition came as a shock as the comedian was a non-smoker.

During her appearance on an episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" the TV personality revealed she was cancer-free, noting that her doctors had successfully removed the tumor.

"Yes! So I'm cancer free," she told the talk show's host. "I don't know why, I had a tumor, right? And I've never smoked, and it was in there for 10 years."

In exchange for being healthy, the "Calm Down Gurrl" star explained that her voice was temporarily altered by an intubation tube that affected her vocal cord. Regarding her new voice, the entertainer described it as "Minnie Mouse meets Marilyn Monroe."

In November 2021, The Blast reported that Griffin celebrated her 61st birthday in style amid her lung cancer battle. The red-haired TV personality marked the occasion by rocking her birthday suit on social media.

Sharing a four-second clip on Instagram, the comedian posed with her back facing the camera, standing topless on a balcony overlooking a pool and an ocean. The "Suddenly Susan" actress flexed her biceps as she vigorously shook her upper body with joy.
