Paul Cattermole, a member of the nineties British pop group S Club 7, has died. He was 46.

The band, known for their upbeat and electrifying pop songs like "Everybody Wants Ya" and "Never Had A Dream Come True," commemorated Cattermole's passing with an Instagram post on Friday.

"We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul," the band begins in its tribute. "There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for our amazing memories. Each will so deeply miss him and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and the band now," their statement concludes.

The Cause Of Cattermole's Death Is Currently Unknown

Cattermole's passing comes shortly after S Club 7 announced plans to embark on a 25th-anniversary tour.

According to Variety, Cattermole was found at his Dorset home on April 6th.

"Dorset police has confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances," a statement per the BBC reads. "Paul's family, friends, and fellow members of S Club request privacy now."

The outlet also reports Cattermole was pronounced dead later on Thursday afternoon. As of this writing, the cause of death has not been revealed.

Fans Honor Cattermole's Memory On Social Media

Tributes to the "Have You Ever" singer began pouring in on social media following the announcement of his passing.

"Paul, you helped define an era," a fan commented on S Club 7's Instagram tribute. "No matter where you are, just remember that everybody wants and sees youa. Rest easy, and start the S Club party by the time we all join you."

"Shocked- in disbelief," another fan wrote on the post. "This is such a hard process, especially around the joy and excitement we've all felt for the reunion later this year. Ugh. Heartbreaking. I hope you are at peace now, Paul. Thank you for all of the S Club memories!" they concluded.

Drag performer Robyn Banks commented, "Omg, I just gasped so hard! No way! He was doing so well and working so hard on making life better! Paul, thank you for the memories and the spirit you brought to the music! We love you, and you will be missed!"

"OMG. I'm shocked. I was looking forward to meeting him later this year—my condolences. RIP Paul," another fan commented.

S Club 7 fans also took to Twitter to share their memories and tributes.

"Can't believe what I have read!! I grew up listening to S Club 7 and still dance around and listen to them. RIP Paul, you will be missed," a fan tweeted, along with a black and white photo of Cattermole.

"S Club 7 were such an iconic band for people my age growing up, and I know this will break a lot of hearts," another fan shared, "What an incredible band with fantastic tunes. Love to Paul's family, friends, and of course, the other members of S Club 7. It's a sad day for pop music," another fan proclaimed.

"S Club 7 was my childhood; their music and tv shows helped me through bullying at school. I loved Paul's cheeky personality in the shows and his incredible voice. So excuse me while I go cry and listen to 'Say Goodbye' on repeat," another fan shared.

"This is sad," Robbie Scowls tweeted. "I remember every Friday at uni; we would wait for 'Reach For The Stars' to liven up the party. It makes you realize how short life can be. RIP Paul," he concluded.

As of this writing, the band has not announced any updates regarding the aforementioned upcoming tour. S Club 7's 25th-anniversary tour is still slated to begin in Manchester, England, on Tuesday, October 12th, 2023.
