Johnny DePhillipo first appeared in the "Bachelor" franchise on Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey's season of "The Bachelorette." The 26-year-old decided to pursue Windey and made it almost to the end. However, things ended between the two after he admitted he was not ready for an engagement.
DePhillipo then went onto the beach of "Bachelor In Paradise," where he unexpectedly found love with Victoria Fuller. Unfortunately, Fuller and DePhillipo called off their engagement not long after "Paradise" wrapped filming due to cheating allegations and other issues between the two.
DePhillipo was noticeably hurt by the breakup and said he would be taking some time to heal -- but has enough time passed for him to appear on the upcoming season of "Bachelor In Paradise"? The 26-year-old is hinting yes.
Johnny DePhillipo May Return To 'Paradise'
Bachelor Nation watched as Johnny DePhillipo kneeled and asked Victoria Fuller to marry him on Season 8 of "Bachelor in Paradise." Unfortunately, the engagement did not last long as DePhillpo accused Fuller of cheating on him with another "Bachelor" alum — Greg Grippo.
The two discussed the rumors about the "Bachelor In Paradise" reunion. Still, neither seemed to leave the stage with anything resolved, leaving Bachelor Nation wondering if DePhillipo would ever return to the beach.
Johnny DePhillipo held a Q&A session on his Instagram Stories, where one fan asked the 26-year-old if he would be willing to go back onto "Bachelor In Paradise" for another season, to which DePhillipo winked at the camera and wrote, "Guess we'll find out!"
Last year, BachelorNation.com asked DePhillipo if he would be open to looking for love in 'Paradise' again, and he replied, "Hell yeah, I would go back to Paradise. I know first-hand that it works. I would love to go back. If they want me next year, I'll be there!"
Johnny DePhillipo Is Moving On From Victoria Fuller
After the "Bachelor In Paradise" finale and reunion aired, Johnny DePhillipo spoke out, admitting he feels better now that the finale aired.
"I feel like I can finally start putting my relationship with Victoria to bed and moving on. I'm ready to put it behind me," he told Bachelor Nation. "I was surprised by a lot at the reunion. For her to go as low as she did and bring up our private arguments, it became a bit of a 'he said,' 'she said' situation. I don't say things like that. For me, that all felt like a low blow. I think she said that because I was nervous, but I didn't want us to go there."
He continued, "I feel like I got the closure I needed at the reunion, but also a while ago. I now know everything I need to know to move forward. We very much weren't working out. We were on two different levels. She is used to a lifestyle that I wasn't there for yet. She seemed to need more, and it wasn't supposed to work out right now."
Fans of Bachelor Nation will have to wait and see if Johnny DePhillipo appears on this "Bachelor In Paradise" season when it airs later this year. There is no set premiere date, but Charity Lawson's "The Bachelorette" season is set to air at the end of June.
