Call me... maybe?
The fourth season of "Love Is Blind" has given viewers plenty to dissect. From instances of multiple cast members (we're looking at you, Irina and Micah!) flirting with other contestants' men, to plenty of mean girl behavior, to some contestants seemingly not being into their partners at all, fans have kept close tabs on the season's happenings.
Season four has generated so much buzz to the point of Netflix trying something new; the reunion will be live-streamed on the platform for the first time! The contestants and hosts, Vanessa and Nick Lachey promise plenty of steaming hot tea spilled in real-time.
Speaking of piping hot tea... fans on social media seem to be brewing a cup or two when it comes to a particular scene in season four! Twitter users were abuzz with their theories about a pivotal scene featuring engaged couple Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah.
There will be massive spoilers ahead; consider yourself warned!
'Love Is Blind' Producers Have Previously Debunked Rumors Around The Show's Authenticity
"Love Is Blind" viewers have weighed in on social media about Appiah's phone call to his mother during a mid-season episode. In this particular scene, Appiah steps away to make a phone call to his mom, informing her about his success in the experiment and his engagement with Griffin.
According to Elite Daily, viewers latched on to two aspects of the scene that were a bit suss- but more on them later!
The subject of viewers' curiosity over "Love Is Blind's" authenticity has been raised before, with producers debunking any discourse over whether cast members are using scripts or not.
Chris Coelen, the creator behind the successful dating series, previously spoke to Entertainment Weekly on the subject.
"As a producer, I was nervous like, 'Is anybody gonna get engaged?' 'Is anyone going to make it to the altar?' Coelen explained. "And, in the end, we had more couples get engaged than we were able to follow on the show." (per Grazia).
Coelen's fears were based on season one's couples. The inaugural season of "Love Is Blind" features two notable on-screen teams, including fan favorites Lauren and Cameron Hamilton. Amber Pike and Matt Barnett are still married as well!
Fans Are Divided Over Griffin And Appiah's Respective Behaviour On Social Media
As of this writing, it's still unclear whether Griffin and Appiah have tied the knot yet. However, fans are supportive of how Griffin has gone about traveling her potential path down the aisle.
Viewers have seen Griffin strike up a friendship with Bliss Poureetezadi on-screen and gracefully face her fiancé's path to getting closure with his ex, Micah Lussier. Griffin and Lussier attempted to sort out Griffin's apprehension about their relationship.
Fans rallied around Griffin in the comment sections of her most recent Instagram photos.
"TEAM CHELSEA ALL DAY, EVERY DAY," a fan commented on her latest photo. "thank you for setting up a beautiful example of a STRONG, MATURE, and BEAUTIFUL woman. Cheering you on, babe!"
"Girl. No one has ever had a better attitude about the show!" another fan wrote, "You went into it with love, and it was so clear! You were patient and kind and beyond gracious. None of these men have ever deserved you. And you had adult convos! So refreshing especially compared to the snakes on your season," they concluded.
However, impressions of Appiah weren't as optimistic.
Fans took to the comments of Appiah's latest Instagram post to voice their concerns about his behavior on the show.
"SK vibes all over the place," a viewer weighed in. "You could tell he was a 'pick me' guy. He wanted extra time on the show, so he went for Chelsea."
"Not you speaking to Micah and talking about 'Micah will always have a special place in my heart' at Chelsea's birthday party [skeleton emoji]."

As mentioned earlier, fan reaction to Appiah's phone call with his mother made significant waves on Twitter!
Appiah's mother's voice was not heard on the phone, despite him using the speaker phone for the conversation. A less obvious clue viewers zeroed in on was Appiah allegedly covering up the speaker to shield the sound. (per Elite Daily)
"Kwame had a phone call with the air," a fan tweeted. "Those were his words to Chelsea, not his phantom mom."
"Will Kwame be using the 'phone call' with his mom not to marry Chelsea?" a fan pondered. "He doesn't seem invested."
"Kwame about to use this phone call w/his 'mom' as an excuse to get out of marrying Chelsea. I see the schemes!"
The live "Love Is Blind" reunion airs on April 16th!
