Reality TV personality Dolores Catania has admitted to "joining the bandwagon" by using anti-diabetic medication to hasten her weight loss goals for the past six weeks.
The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star sparked mixed reactions from fans upon making the revelation, as she noted that she prides herself on "telling the truth."
Catania divulged that she was anxious about making it for the show's highly anticipated reunion because of the ongoing bad blood between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice.

Dolores Catania Admits To Using Ozempic
According to Page Six, Catania revealed during her recent appearance on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" that she has been using Semaglutide for the past six weeks to help with her weight management.
She noted that the Semaglutide she's using is Mounjaro, which her fellow guest on the "WWHL" show, Marysol Patton, pointed out was "the amped-up version, the fast forward to Skinnyville."
The 52-year-old housewife stated that all her co-stars on the show also use it, so she felt compelled to join them. "I wasn't going to come to the reunion looking any bigger than anyone else, so I got on the bandwagon," Catania stated.
Semaglutide, marketed under brand names such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Rybelsus, controls high blood sugar in persons with type 2 diabetes and has an anti-obesity capacity for long-term weight management.
Catania also stated that the only side effect she has experienced is a loss of appetite and that she prides herself on "telling the truth."
Dolores Catania Sparked Mixed Reaction From Fans
Several fans didn't take it well that Catania uses the medication meant to treat diabetes for her weight loss.
"It annoys me," a fan noted. "This is a drug for people with type 2 diabetes. My doctor wants me on this drug, but I can't get it because there's a massive shortage. These people shouldn't be taking it. They don't need to take it. It's so selfish."
Another fan wrote, "I lost my respect for Dolores - this is not okay. I don't understand how Andy or someone doesn't speak up and point out that people with diabetes need it, and the messaging about 'not being big' or 'you look so skinny' is so 90s and horrible."
"I know someone unable to get it for her diabetes because of the shortage. This is sickening!" an annoyed fan exclaimed.
Several other fans were okay with her confession, with one noting her honesty was "refreshing."
A supportive fan noted, "They are on TV, heavily scrutinized for their appearance, so they'd take a weight loss peptide if available. Ozempic is the brand name people know, but other brands on the market are sold at wellness centers. A lot of times, it's paired with HRT for menopause."
She Blames 'Vanderpump Rules' Tom Sandoval For Affair With Raquel Leviss
Elsewhere on the "WWHL" show with Andy Cohen, Catania played the "truth or cookie" game, where she was made to answer "shady" random questions from the host or sip a drink if she chose not to answer.
She was first asked to say three nice things about Ramona Singer, but she sipped her drink instead of responding.
Cohen then asked her who she felt was to blame in the affair between Sandoval and Raquel, to which Catania answered Sandoval.
When asked what the source of her problems with Dina Cantin (formerly Manzo) was, she stated that there were none, and their friendship had only "dissipated."
Dolores Catania Dreads Going For 'RHONJ' Reunion
The entrepreneur let the cat out of the bag about her reservation about going for the highly anticipated reunion with her "Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-stars.
Catania stated on a recent episode of the "Pay Attention Puh-Lease!" podcast that she was nervous about attending the reunion due to the ongoing feud between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga.
"On a good day, we have anxiety about the reunion. Anxiety is one thing, but I'm afraid," she said, per Page Six.
"I think this new feud was a culmination of years of buildup, and it all came to a head, unfortunately, right before Teresa's wedding," she added. "And we just wish that that didn't happen."
She pointed out that both families will have to learn to cohabitate together and prevent things from getting physical as the reunion draws nearer.
