Former "Jeopardy!" champion Amy Schneider finally gave fans a release date for her long-awaited book!

The 2022 Tournament of Champions winner became a household name for her 40-game win streak from November 2021 to January 2022. She still holds the show’s second-longest win streak, behind only Ken Jennings, who won 74 games in a row back in 2004.

After her time on the show was up, Amy signed with the talent agency CAA and announced plans to write a book. Late last week, she took to social media to announce not only the name of her new book but the release date as well!

Amy Announced Her New Book On The Transgender Day Of Visibility

It is only fitting that Amy Schneider chose to announce the release of her new book on Transgender Day of Visibility, as she is the first openly transgender champion to qualify for any Tournament of Champions and has been an inspiration and an advocate for transgender youth everywhere.

On March 31, 2022, Amy actually was invited to the White House to denounce “hateful” anti-transgender legislation. She used her newfound fame to speak out against bills that would affect transgender people, especially those that are underage.

“They’re really scary and some of them in particular that are denying medical services to trans youth, those are, those are life-saving medical treatments,” Schneider told reporters at the time. “These bills will cause the deaths of children and that’s really sad to me and it’s really frightening.”

She has also been an outspoken advocate for trans rights in her home state of Ohio. On February 23, she called out a handful of Ohio House Representatives that were trying to ban affirming care for transgender youth yet again.

"This isn’t a surprise, sadly. But that said, there’s still plenty of time to stop it. If you live in Ohio, please, call your representatives," she tweeted. "Let them know that they did the right thing in November, and ask that they do it again. Kids’ lives are still at stake."
