In his lengthy statement, Lletget acknowledged the gravity of his mistakes and announced his intention to enter a mental wellness facility. He expressed gratitude for his girlfriend of seven years, crediting her love and unwavering support for helping him navigate life's "challenges."

His message concluded with an apology to his partner for causing her pain and betraying her trust. The player vowed to do everything possible to regain her love and forgiveness. "To Becky, you have been the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me, unconditional love," he wrote.

He added, "Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry, and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve."
