On a trip to the Bahamas for "RHOM" cast members, Pippen, 48, was spotted wearing box braids. During the "RHOM" reunion, host Andy Cohen asked a fan question, wondering if Pippen thought the hairdo was "culturally appropriate."
"Watching the tease for the season, I noticed you were sporting braids in the Bahamas. Fashion-wise, you can pull it off. But do you think it's really culturally appropriate? I think you're going to get a lot of backlash," the fan asked per People magazine.
"I mean, I'm not White, so I don't know — my mom used to wear braids," Pippen noted. "I have a braider who comes and braids my kids' hair every ten days... My son's had braids literally for the last four years."
She continued, "I'm going on a trip, I don't want to have to deal with my hair, I'll have her braid my hair."

Pippen doubled by stating that she has worn braids since she was a young child and that her African descent played a part in this.
"My grandparents are Moroccan. My mom had braids when she was a kid," Pippen noted. "I've been braiding my hair every time I've gone on vacation since I can remember. My honeymoon pictures, my hair was braided. When I was 18 years old, my hair was braided. I've always worn braids when I travel."
According to People, a friend of the show, Kiki Barth, defended Pippen, saying it was fine for people to do whatever hairstyle they wanted as long as it "looked good on you."
Pippen was previously married to ex-NBA star Scottie Pippen, with whom she has four kids: sons Preston, 21; Justin, 18; and Scotty, 22 and daughter Sophia, 14.
She got divorced from him in 2021 after 24 years together. She's now dating NBA legend Michael Jordan's son, Marcus Jordan, as they went Instagram official in January.
Larsa Pippen Will 'Definitely' Adopt Marcus Jordan's Name If They Marry
According to People, Pippen is ready to adopt her boyfriend's name if they tie the knot. During Part 2 of the "Real Housewives of Miami" reunion episode, she revealed that her name would change when she married.
"I would definitely change my last name for whomever I married, that's for sure," she shared.
Cohen questioned her further about the "unusual" dynamic that might have developed as a result of her relationship with Jordan.
"I feel like a lot of people don't understand, like, I didn't know him," she explained. "I just met him a few years ago. I never met him before. I was with Scottie the very last year that he played with Michael," she shared. "Michael and his wife were going through a divorce, so I never met his wife, never met his kids. It wasn't like we had families that were intertwined. I never knew them."
She Had Sex Four Times Every Night With Her Ex-Husband
In other parts of the reunion episode, Pippen discussed her sexual relationship with her ex-husband, Scottie Pippen. She revealed that they had four sex sessions every night until their separation and divorce in 2021.
"I was married for 23 years, I've always had sex like four times a night," she said. "So three times a week is nothing... I had sex four times a night, every night. I never had a day off for 23 years."
Her co-stars on the show appeared perplexed as Lisa Hochstein exclaimed, "Your poor vagina!" and Guerdy Abraira questioned whether it included the time he was on tour with the Chicago Bulls.
She explained that they were never apart because they had a private plane on which she traveled with the kids.
Andy Cohen, the host, continued by joking that Marcus Jordan, her current boyfriend, has big shoes to fill. "He wears a size 15 shoe, so I think he's OK," she replied.
