Arellano gave a few video updates on how the pup is doing in his new home. In one video, she shared some clips of her son with Loki. In the video she wrote, "Everyone says Loki is my 'soul dog,' but really I know he's my son's." See the video HERE.

In another video, Arellano gave a little backstory on how the adoption came to be.

"I work at a clinic for the shelter. He came in, he was super sick," she said as she showed a photo of Loki in the hospital getting fluids. "He needed somewhere to go home because he couldn't stay at the clinic all the time, but he was too sick to go back to the adoption floor."

That's when her husband said the family could foster Loki with one condition - no one can get too attached to the adorable pup.

"But I did get attached and I did wanna keep him," she continued. "He got along great with the dog. He instantly loved our son. He was house trained. And so, I started begging for him."

Her husband kept saying 'no,' so she took him back to the shelter even though she was very upset, and so was Loki.

"And so I called my husband again, one final plea, and he was like, 'fine, bring him back home, but don't ask to foster any more animals,'" she explained. "I was like, 'I can't promise you that, but I'll try my best.'"

The viral video of Loki holding Arellano's hand on the way home happened as they were headed back to home from the shelter after she got the okay to keep him. And now, not only are the family's hearts full because of their new addition, but so are the hearts of all the followers watching Loki in his new home on social media.
