Ariana Grande's headlining performance during the first weekend of Coachella didn't go without controversy.

The "7 Rings" singer was first plagued by ongoing sound issues when she brought out Nicki Minaj to perform two songs Sunday night in the Coachella Valley.

The duo was set to perform "Side to Side" and "Bang Bang," but the sound kept cutting out and the singers appeared to struggle through the lyrics without the backup soundtrack. Grande even pointed to her earpiece multiple times to signal to the crew that she could not hear a thing.

Sound issues continued to go awry when she brought out Diddy and Mase to perform "Mo Money Mo Problems."

The big reveal for Grande's set had been teased throughout the week, a performance with *NSYNC. The singer did bring out ALMOST everyone, including JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass.

However, fans quickly noticed that Justin Timberlake was not part of the reunion, and began to throw shade on Twitter. "It’s not *NSYNC if there’s no Justin Timberlake," many users lamented during the performance.

Most figured that Timberlake would not be a part of any reunion. Aside from shooting down rumors last year after the band received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Timberlake had actually just finished wrapping up his Man of the Woods Tour the night before in Connecticut.

However, Grande did put on a good show with the partial *NSYNC reunion, where they sang "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” and of course the classic, “Tearin’ Up My Heart.”
