Mayor Pete Buttigieg from Indiana is the hottest candidate to throw his hat in the ring for President of the United States, but now he's gotta worry about people knowing how the heck to pronounce his name properly.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Buttigieg's political action committee, Pete for America, filed documents to trademark the phonetical pronunciation of his name, "Boot Edge Edge."

The filing lists that Pete's PAC wants to put "Boot Edge Edge" on all sorts of promotional swag; including bumper stickers, rally signs, blankets, t-shirts and tote bags that will promote the "public awareness of Pete Buttigieg as a candidate for public office."

Along with "Boot Edge Edge," there were trademark filings for stylized forms of "Pete," which his committee also plans on branding. Interestingly enough, the documents were filed on April 10, 4 days before he officially declared his intention to run for office.
