Josh Groban is devastated about the tragic fire that destroyed a large portion of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Groban was out in New York City on Tuesday when he shared his feelings on the iconic house of worship, which he hopes they are able to rebuild.

"The architecture itself is just awe-inspiring," Groban said. "It’s just a symbol for so many people around the world, whether you’re religious or not religious. It’s an extraordinary work of art and survived so many years, it’s impossible not to be taken aback by it and inspired by it."

Groban tweeted on the day of the fire, writing, "Watching the Notre-Dame fire with such sadness. Sending love to the people of France and hoping they get a handle on it soon. It has survived, and will survive."
