When Sydel Curry-Lee revealed she's expecting her second child earlier this week, her social media followers expressed their happiness for her and her growing family. Many had questions about her pregnancy this time around, so she took time to answer some questions on Instagram Stories.

Curry-Lee and her husband, Phoenix Suns player Damion Lee, parents to 16-month-old son Daxon, and are expecting a baby girl this time around. Many social media followers picked up the subtle reveal that she's carrying a baby girl in their pregnancy announcement video on Instagram.

When asked if she plans to have a gender reveal, she explained how they found out they were having a baby girl. Curry-Lee, who went through IVF to get pregnancy with her son also conceived with IVF this time around. Because they knew the baby's gender when they transferred the embryo, waiting to find out the gender and having a gender reveal was unnecessary.

"This was our third embryo that we transferred," she said. "We transferred one, the first one didn't work when we were trying for Daxon." The second embryo transferred was Daxon and now the third is the couple's baby girl.

One fan asked how she's feeling during this pregnancy. "Horrible. This has been rough. This pregnancy has been rough," she explained. "I was nauseous, sick for the first 12, 13 weeks and then on and off since then. It was really bad." She also explained with a caption on the Story video, "24/7 debilitating nausea and fatigue has been rocking my world but thankfully getting better these days."

She further explained that this pregnancy and Daxon's pregnancy have been "night and day."

Another fan wanted to know who she told first about her second pregnancy, and she explained that her two sister-in-laws, Callie Curry, Seth Curry's wife, and Ayesha Curry, wife to Stephen Curry, as well as her friend Liz.

"Ayesha went with me for my transfer because all of our embryos are in California," she said. "I didn't tell Damion for like two or three days later because he was on the road and I didn't want to tell him while he was gone." But although she didn't tell him she was pregnant, he knew she was experiencing pregnancy symptoms.

Another fan asked if she's experiencing any pregnancy cravings and if they are different from the first time around, and she said, "I didn't really have cravings with Daxon." She continued by explaining that she's craving salads and anything that's not healthy like macaroni and cheese, french fries, Taco Bell and "all the bad stuff."

Another question was about having an anterior placenta, which Curry-Lee said she's had with Daxon and with this pregnancy. She talked about feeling the baby kick for the first time about a week ago at 17 weeks pregnant.

Sydel Curry-Lee Has Shared Videos And Information About Her IVF Process

Curry-Lee also shared a video slide that shows her mother-in-law, a nurse, giving her the trigger shot to ovulate before transferring the embryo in November 2022.

After sharing the trigger shot video, a follower requested the rest of the video, and Curry-Lee was happy to share that video as well.

Curry-Lee shared her IVF journey with her social media followers the first time around. In one Instagram video, she shared what the process was like for her.

"A small glimpse into my #ivfjourney. While there is so much to this part of the journey, I wanted to share what it looked like for me. I dealt with this in private (off social media) for a lot of reasons & thankful that I did because, whew the hormones 😓. it was hands down one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do, but it wasn’t impossible," she began the caption of her video.

"I learned so much about myself and was able to recognized on a much deeper level how blessed I am with the support system in my corner. I would not have been able to do it without them. I hope to share more with you all as we continue along this journey."

Now, Curry-Lee is gearing up to be a mom of two under two. She said she's excited about it in an Instagram Story. “I’m excited for them to be close in age. I’m excited for Daxon to have a sibling. I think he’s gonna be such a good big brother,” she said.
