Has GTA 6 Finally Been Given a Release Date?

Famous for being one of the most infamous leakers of Rockstar Games, Tez2 said that the announcement might arrive much sooner than we think: "I ain't gonna lie. The next time we could receive some news, or an update is around June or July. Likely the latter.” This information is fascinating since people were expecting an announcement at the end of the year or in 2024 due to the late development of the new entry. Also, people thought it would be in October since Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced in October 2016 and GTA 5 was announced in October 2011.

But this is not the only thing Tez2 says to us: "If Rockstar were to tease anything GTA6 related within GTA Online around September or October, it has to be included with the Summer update. And Rockstar is very aware of us dataminers.” For him, the announcement will begin during or before Summer for one reason. For such an announcement, it has to be included in the Summer update of GTA Online. They cannot wait until September or October 2023 since data miners will find out about the hidden GTA 6 days immediately.

Also, there's another significant anniversary coming this year, and announcing GTA 6 at the same time could be something Rockstar could do: "But if Rockstar were to reveal they would celebrate GTA Online's 10th anniversary and provide news on the next title, then including a random event or an activity teasing the next title, like how Treasure Hunt was RDR2 related, won't be as bad as not saying anything prior". So for him, if Rockstar reveals GTA 6 this year, it will be linked to GTA Online anniversary.

According to the insider Chris, from the website Rockstar Mag', the new trailer is already well advanced, even almost ready. However, he said he could not speak more since this was confidential information given to him. Also, Chris, who is always very sincere when he talks about the game, said he bet with his team about an announcement at the end of April 2023, even sooner than Tez2 said. In September 2022, something historical happened in video games since complete footage of the following entry of the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA 6, leaked online. It was possible to see some gameplay and source codes; it was a nightmare for Rockstar Games.

The leak comes from the now arrested user 'teapotuberhacker' who posted a zip file on GTAForums saying: "Here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6. It's possible I could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build." Even though these leaks were obvious and in good definition, they were still in testing build, which means people have not seen actual footage of the game. However, it leaked the surprise of the return to Vice City and the main characters, making Rockstar Games angry.
