The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Festival are both events that bring thousands of music lovers to the desert for a weekend of craziness ... and in the end it's clear that country music fans cause more trouble than all the other genres combined.

According to the Indio Police Department, arrests during Stagecoach were up 33% from last year's festival, compared to Coachella, which saw a significant decrease in arrests over both weekends.

Of the 142 total arrests during the one weekend of Stagecoach, the breakdown is as follows:

  • Drug/Alcohol/Intoxication -- 101

  • False I.D. -- 37

  • Other -- 4

There were also 187 traffic related citations issued to the cowboys and cowgirls enjoying performances by artists like Sam Hunt, Luke Bryan and Jessie James Decker.

On the other side of the spectrum, Coachella had less than 100 arrests for each weekend of the music festival, and around 50 traffic citations each weekend.

Stagecoach did have Coachella beat on one statistic, as there were zero arrests for possession of drugs for sales.
