A brand-new rollercoaster is coming soon to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to open in the Tomorrowland section of Magic Kingdom in April, but select Cast Members of the Parks and Disney World Annual Passholders were able to ride the attraction ahead of its official opening.
And one lucky celebrity also had the chance to experience the new coaster -- none other than "Dance Moms" star and "Dancing With the Stars" contestant JoJo Siwa.
JoJo Siwa Blasts Off On TRON Coaster
Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle invited JoJo Siwa to experience the new TRON rollercoaster ahead of its opening, and it is obvious she had a great time.
This was not the first time Siwa was invited to experience a ride early as last year, Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle and Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro invited the former Nickelodeon child star to experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.
"Last year, @itsjojosiwa helped me save the galaxy at EPCOT. This year, we hopped into the grid at Magic Kingdom for a race against Team Orange and WON! #allthedisneythrills," Vahle shared in an Instagram post alongside a photo of himself with JoJo Siwa on the TRON bikes.
Welcome To The Grid
JoJo Siwa posed alongside the two Walt Disney World Ambassadors, Ali and Raevon, as the "Dance Moms" star wore a TRON-themed jacket, which will likely be sold in the Parks once the attraction opens next month.
Disney Parks has previously stated that TRON will be one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world! According to the Walt Disney World website, TRON Lightcycle / Run is described as:
Lean forward into the ultimate race of survival! Leave the real world behind and join Team Blue in an epic quest across the Grid—the dark, computerized world with no horizons from TRON. Here, there’s no limit to the excitement.
Climb aboard your very own Lightcycle and take off on a high-speed adventure, racing against the Grid’s most menacing Programs. Surge past your fierce opponents as you attempt to cross through 8 Energy Gates and secure your team’s victory—so you can survive to race another day.
If Guests want to ride the new TRON rollercoaster when it opens to the public, they must use the Virtual Queue system Disney has implemented. Disney has stated, “A virtual queue will be in place when TRON Lightcycle / Run opens on April 4, 2023. Guests will need to use the My Disney Experience app to enter the attraction. A standby queue will not be available. Each Guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day during regular park hours. Boarding groups for a virtual queue are limited, subject to availability, and are not guaranteed.”
Guests also have the option to purchase Individual Lightning Lane to gain entry for this attraction once it opens.
The Blast had an opportunity to ride the Magic Kingdom attraction ahead of its opening, which you can read more about here.
