Stylist Law Roach Clarifies State Of Relationship With Zendaya After Shocking Retirement

Even though stylist Law Roach is no longer in the fashion business, his bond with actress Zendaya remains!

The celebrated stylist broke the hearts of many in the fashion industry when he announced his retirement. Following the announcement, many opined that the “Euphoria” actress partly triggered the decision. 

Shortly after the speculations started, the style icon cleared the air, declaring that there was no bad blood between him and the actress. 

The designer’s choice to retire undoubtedly shook everyone. This prompted speculations about whether his relationship with the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” actress had gone sour. 

However, Roach set the record straight about his relationship with the 26-year-old, emphasizing that they are inseparable. The stylist tweeted, “So y’all really think I’m breaking up with Z….. we are forever!” Following it up with a second tweet highlighting his bond with Zendaya, the star stylist wrote, “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love.”

Emphatically making his point, Roach finally posted a gif meme of two little girls in the meadow with the words “Me & U Must Neva Part” written on it. The stylist captioned the meme, “Literally me and Zendaya.”

Fans literally heaved a sigh of relief following the clarification. One fan tweeted, “Whew, you had us worried!” while another said, “This is the relief I needed today.” 

The “Legendary” judge’s clarification comes hours after he broke the news of his sudden retirement on Instagram. He posted a pic with the word “Retirement” written in bold white letters, and in the post’s caption, he expressed his intentions. 

He wrote, “My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who've supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I'm so grateful for you all.”

Law further shared the reason for his tough decision. “If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it's not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win… I'm out.' 

Sure enough, many people were saddened by Roach’s sudden retirement, and they expressed their unhappiness in the comments. Supermodel Naomi Campbell commented, “Law I won’t let you!!!! We don’t quit...strived too hard.” 

A follower expressed, “ No way your talent is unmatched ?we are devastated.” Another follower wrote, “You hold up the industry, Law! Please don’t go anywhere ?” E entertainment remarked, “? The Red Carpet will NEVER, EVER be the same without you @luxurylaw. Influencer Addison Rae expressed, “WHAT?! ?”

Despite not being pleased with the news, many fans showered love to the designer and supported him. Editor-in-chief of British Vogue, Edward Enninful commented, “You’d always have a home @britishvogue ❤️”

A fan sent love to the stylist, writing, “One thing I’ve learned from you is that the universe protects and provides. You would be provided with what you need to fill your cup again.”

We could understand why fans were relieved after Roach clarified there was no misunderstanding between him and Zendaya. The pair are a match made in heaven, and as you may know, Roach has been the brain behind the Disney star’s most famous red carpet looks since he took charge of her style in 2011.

In 2021, Roach celebrated a decade of working with the “Euphoria” star, which made headlines. The duo met while the 44-year-old was shopping for Zendaya’s cousin. 

Roach recalled the start of their fashion affair, saying “When she was 14, she didn’t know much about fashion, and we were starting to learn about each other. And I think I had a little bit more say-so in the look.”

The stylist highlighted some of the jaw-dropping looks they pulled off. He stated the hot pink breastplate top and matching skirt from Tom Ford, which the actress wore at the 2020 Critic’s Choice Awards. 

He recalled the eye-catching butterfly Moschino dress for “The Greatest Showman” Australian premiere in 2017 and the dramatic cream-draped Vivienne Westwood at the 2015 Oscars.

Roach commented on their years working together. “It doesn’t seem like 10 years at all,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of looks and a lot of moments over this decade and every time seems just as magical as the first.” 

He added, “I think the process has become easier, and we know each other like the back of our hands. I’ve been very blessed to be a part of the curation of her style and her fashion identity. We call each other our fashion soulmates. She calls me her fashion godbrother. It’s just such a beautiful, easy thing. There’s a lot of trust.”
