Now that Zach Shallcrosss‘s season of “The Bachelor” is more than halfway over, many members of Bachelor Nation are looking forward to the next season of “The Bachelorette”, wondering who will be the next lead.
On last night's episode of "Women Tell All", the franchise announced that child and family therapist Charity Lawson, who is from Columbus, Georgia, will be the next "Bachelorette".
But how does Bachelor Nation feel?
Fans Take To Social Media
Zach Shallcross sent Charity Lawson home after hometowns on Monday night. The following night, on the "Women Tell All" episode, which aired on Tuesday, "Bachelor" host Jesse Palmer sat down with Charity Lawson to do a little "This or That". Palmer started off by asking easy questions such as "Sunrise or sunset?" and "Camping or glamping?" But that is when Palmer got down to business, asking Lawson "Bachelor in Paradise or The Bachelorette?" to which Lawson hesitated slightly before answering "The Bachelorette".
"I'm glad you said that, because Charity, I want you to be our next Bachelorette," Palmer said, dropping the bomb and completely shocking Lawson.
The official "Bachelorette" Twitter account shared a video of the interaction between Palmer and Lawson, writing "We cannot wait to see Charity Lawson shine as #TheBachelorette 💍✨."

Fans were quick to comment on the news, with some ecstatic saying the show made the right choice, while others feel that Lawson may not be the best lead due to emotions.
United States Representative Buddy Carter was one of those supporting Lawson as the next "Bachelorette", writing, "Congrats to the next lead of ABC's #TheBachelorette, Charity Lawson! Love to see Georgians making waves, and I'm sure you'll do us proud."

Many others commented on "The Bachelorette"'s Instagram post announcing Lawson as the next lead. "👏👏 finally, they chose someone that we all wanted," one user said as another chimed in, "She’s stunning and smart. I love the way she handles herself. I just hope the production of the show protects her against rude guys trying to degrading her like they did in the past to other girls."
Others felt that the show chose the wrong woman as one user commented, "I actually wanted Ariel to be the next Bachelorette if she didn’t end up with Zach. I feel like Charity is still not emotionally strong enough for the pressure & stress that comes with this process. But best of luck to her & I hope they cast quality men that’ll treat her right."
"if ariel went home, i feel like she’s more emotionally mature to handle the stress of choosing between 30 men. charity’s going to cry endlessly," another said.

When introducing the women of Zach Shallcross’s season, host Jessie Palmer said, “It’s easy to see what makes Charity such a great catch! With a smile that lights up the room, a great career and a sweet personality to match, Charity is the total package!”
Palmer continued to describe the child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia as a loving and caring individual, saying, “The Georgia beauty takes her name as a call to love and care for people and has built her life on that purpose. Charity is a mental health therapist and is extremely passionate about helping people live their best lives.”
He continued, “Now, she is ready to receive the love she gives to so many others! Charity hopes her future husband is honest, loyal and shares similar morals. She says she is really excited to meet Zach and thinks the two of them could be a perfect match on paper. Time will tell if they’re also a perfect match in person!”
