Nipsey Hussle's brother is letting his voice be heard in the brewing war over his niece, and is throwing his support behind their sister to get guardianship.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Samiel Asghedom, known as Blacc Sam, filed a declaration in support of Samantha Smith obtaining guardianship of Nipsey's 10-year-old daughter, Emani.

The document is heavily redacted, but it's clear Nipsey's family is hoping that Blacc Sam's vote of confidence will help them in the battle to prevent guardianship from Emani's mother, Tanisha.

Blacc Sam was extremely close to Nipsey, and gave an emotional speech at the rapper's memorial service last month.

As we reported, Nipsey's family does not believe Tanisha can properly care for Emani, and believes having the child in Smith's custody is the most beneficial for her upbringing.

Smith has already been shut down by the judge in the case for trying to fast track a temporary guardianship without letting Tanisha know. The judge didn't feel there was "urgency demonstrated for granting" temporary guardianship before a hearing on May 14.

As we reported, Emani and Nipsey were actually given joint custody of Emani years ago, but his family does not feel she's capable of being the child's sole guardian.

Tanisha has not publicly responded yet to Nipsey's family trying to prevent her from guardianship, but it's a good guess that she'll show up next week and make a case for why she should be Emani's guardian.
