Actor Adam Driver has appeared in many different films over the years.

After starring in "Girls," he became an international sensation as the villainous Kylo Ren and the redeemed Ben Solo in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy.

He most recently appeared as Commander Mills in the dinosaur-fighting action thriller "65." Although Driver admitted that he appeared in the film because he knows his son loves dinosaurs, that didn't stop his son from telling him, "I hate movies."

'Star Wars' Actor Adam Driver Made '65' Because His Son Told Him 'I Hate Movies'

In a recent appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" on Thursday, Adam Driver revealed that his son just isn't a fan of movies. His son, whose name has yet to be publicly disclosed, won't even see his new film, "65," even though he loves dinosaurs.

"I tell him, like, 'Oh, we're going to do movies sometimes.' He's like, 'Oh, that's cool. I hate movies,'" Driver recalled. "He hates them! I finally showed him 'Mary Poppins' as the first movie, and he's like, 'Eh, it was okay.'"

"We're like, 'Do you want to watch anything else?'" he continued. "He's like, 'No, I'm not interested.'" That's why Driver thought it would be great to combine his love of acting and his son's love of dinosaurs. Unfortunately, his son isn't interested in "65" either.

"It was like dinosaurs and laser guns, and he's into dinosaurs, so I was like, 'I'm in,'" he said. "Then we went, and he kind of knew everything. The guy was introducing [the dinosaurs] like, 'Oh, this might be a little scary. Don't be scared.' He's like, 'No. Gallimimus. Eoraptor.' He was naming everything. He was really into it."

Although his son apparently loved seeing how everything worked behind the scene, he still won't go to see "65" in a movie theater with his father. "He doesn't want to see the movie because it's too scary," Driver said. "So I basically made this thing for him to watch that he has no interest in watching."

Even though his first child with his wife Joanne Tucker has no interest in movies, there might be some hope for the "Marriage Story" actor yet. As The Blast previously reported, he and his college sweetheart are expecting another child together.

Last month, “The Last Duel” actor was photographed on the streets of New York City with his wife, Joanne Tucker. The actress was visibly pregnant, wearing her puffy brown jacket unzipped. She kept warm with a gray sweater, black slacks, and a blue beanie.

The “White Noise” actor also looked like he was trying to keep warm in a long-sleeve shirt, dark slacks, and a black beanie as the couple packed up their car together. Their first child was not photographed with them.

The fan-favorite couple first met at school in Juilliard. Adam Driver was a member of the Drama Division’s Group 38 from 2005 to 2009. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and the couple tied the knot four years later in a private ceremony in June 2013.

The low-key couple welcomed a son two years ago, which was accidentally leaked to the public when her sister made her Instagram account public. She shared photos of a pregnant Tucker and a joint baby shower, referring to both herself and Tucker as “new moms.”

Although the "Logan Lucky" actor at first downplayed the existence of a son, the “House of Gucci” star was photographed playing with his son at a playground in Rome while he was filing the Ridley Scott-directed film in March 2021. His wife stood nearby as she watched the two play, holding their dog on a leash.

In 2017, the actor joked about the possibility of a son with W Magazine, admitting that he didn’t know he could “love anything more” than his dog, saying, “Like I have a kid – maybe – and be like [gestures dismissively] … but the dog!”
