Ashley Graham Slammed For Bad Interviewing Skills On Academy Awards Red Carpet

Ashley Graham is getting called out for her crappy interviewing skills, prompting journalists to implore her not to come for their job!

The model was tapped to stop fellow celebs as they walked down the red carpet and into the Academy Awards. She had the pleasure (or displeasure) of stopping “veteran” Academy Award goer, Hugh Grant.

The actor appeared in Glass Onion late last year and seemed disappointed when Ashley called him a “veteran of the Oscars” he scoffed and that was only the beginning. The interview carried on and Ashley asked all the typical questions one would expect to get on the red carpet but, let’s just say, coming from Ashley, it was a little weird and “dry” as some followers of this hilarious story are claiming.

Before we jump into the interview, we have to talk about Ashley’s dress. The mom of three looked stunning in an all black dress. The bottom of the dress flows out elegantly and it’s sheer! The top of the dress is cut out in the middle and shaped mainly around a bra Silhouette.

The neck goes all the way up and it features a cape that hits the ground. Stunning. Period. Dot.

It was written all over the “veteran” actor’s face that he isn’t that interested in standing around for the conversation. The first question she asked Hugh was what his favorite thing about coming to the Oscars is.

A normal question that he answered with gusto! In that charmingly befuddled way, Grant joked that all of humanity was there and chalked it up to “vanity fair” all the pomp and circumstance around the event.

Here is where things got a little chaotic. “What are you most excited to see tonight?” Ashley asked him, a standard question for any red carpet host, professional or not. He seemed confused that why Ashley was even asking that question.

She fumbled through an explanation and rephrased but Hugh was already over it and he claimed he wasn’t excited to see anyone in particular.

Ashley went on to ask who Hugh was wearing that night and the actor claimed he couldn’t remember his tailor’s name. Finally, she asked about Glass Onion and asked him what it was like to be in the film.

Hugh kindly reminded her that he was barely in it and essentially shut down her excitement over a question that she probably thought was unique and clever. That was the last question, thankfully and Hugh walked off after raising his eyebrows at the whole scenario.

Ashley is now being slammed in the comments for her lack of professionalism and not knowing how to lead an interview.

“She could've done better with a line of questions,” wrote one follower. Some defended Hugh against comments that he was being rude. “Rude? No.. Honest? Yes..” wrote a follower defending the actor.

“No he wasn’t. Those were annoying and boring questions.” Another follower agreed. “She definitely was asking the most Highschool questions I’m sorry. He wasn’t rude, he was bored.” The comments kept rolling in.

“She didn’t ask anything profound or interesting ??‍♀️,” noticed one follower. “No. Not at all . And that last question was silly. Like he said 3 seconds.”

Others believe that Hugh was definitely being a jerk and took to the comments to slam him.

“He was absolutely rude! She showed that she did some research about him and his work! She asked what he was wearing, like ALL the reporters do! And he still wasn’t w/it! He was a prick! But She handled it well! Kudos to Ash! ??????.”

Another asked, “How u gonna be a presenter but have a hard time answering questions. BASIC QUESTIONS?”

“I think he was boring more than rude. He's trying to act like he's not into it, but there he is all dressed up,” pointed out another follower.

Ashley tried to make it work but it seems like Hugh was just in his own world.
