American docuseries "Southern Charm" is returning to the screens for a new season minus one significant cast member, Cameran Eubanks.
As the season begins, producers and cast are keeping their fingers crossed as they ask the burning question, "Would viewers still tune in? Will the storylines be engaging?."
Right from the beginning of the season, other cast members openly admitted they missed Eubanks, and Craig Conover told "Decider," "I miss Cam. We love doing this together, and I think she loves doing it too. That was my rock; it was me and her and Shep since the beginning."
Moving On Without Cameran Eubanks
He continued that nobody has had the year easy, but he looks forward to it being better as viewers can better relate to the cast.
He also added that he was glad things finally turned out well as the cast and producers were worried when "shit hit the fan" in true Southern Charm fashion.
To fill in the gap left by Eubanks' exit, Conover took over as a series narrator, but the series took a small hit due to the switch as ratings dropped when the season commenced.
The Moment Of Truth
In a tweet, "Bravo" TV disclosed the series's ratings after the premiere as 0.851 million viewers. The ratings were impressive, considering the season premiered at the same time as the presidential election, which took over the media.
As the season and controversy mounted, ratings remained buoyant, with episode three having 0.933 million viewers.
During the second part at the reunion, season seven hit 1.101 million viewers. Some fans suggested that Madison LeCroy and baseball player Alex Rodriguez's rumored connection saved the season's ratings.
How Ratings Determine The Fate Of A Series
"Real Housewives" producers Andy Cohen shared that the ratings of a series determined the fate of the said series, and the recent increase has secured another season for "Southern Charm."
During the lockdown in April, Cohen answered why the "Real Housewives of Miami" was canceled.
He explained that the season was shut down because its ratings were low towards the end of the season, which according to him, never happens. He added that the rating of a series going down during the reunion is terrible for business.
Madison LeCroy Shares Why She Got Cosmetic Surgery
As the rating goes on an upswing with over one million viewers, it is a good indicator that fans will be seeing more of the series in the future.
In another news, Madison LeCroy revealed that she was getting plastic surgery and advised anyone that wants it to go for it.
She shared on Instagram that she lost confidence in her body after having a child eight years ago and that although she tried to keep fit, some areas did not bounce back to where they were originally.
