Tom Schwartz Comments On Tom Sandoval's Affair With Raquel Leviss
During a recent interview with TMZ, Tom Schwartz addressed the allegations of Tom Sandoval's affair with Raquel Leviss. Multiple reports claimed that Sandoval and Leviss had an affair for months while he and Ariana Madix were still dating.
Madix ended her nine-year relationship with Sandoval shortly after learning about the affair with Leviss. During the interview, Schwartz, who's the co-owner of Schwartz & Sandy's with Sandoval, said he isn't happy about the scandal.
He said, "Really, I'm just sad, you know, about the negative impact it's had on our business. But I think cooler heads will prevail and I'm just gonna keep on keeping on." However, he refused to share his thoughts about the affair and how it hurt Madix.
He Shared That Tom Sandoval Is Doing Okay Amidst The Scandal
During his conversation with TMZ, Schwartz spoke on how Sandoval is doing amidst the backlash from the affair scandal. He said, "He's okay, I think. He has a sense of profound sadness, rightfully so. I think he feels like a piece of sh*t and to some extent, maybe he is. He knows he f**ked up and the whole thing is just really sad."
When asked how much he knew about Sandoval's months-long affair with Leviss, Schwartz played coy and revealed little. He said, "You'll see it play out on the show. It's f**king complicated. That's the understatement of the year." The 40-year-old also stated he and Leviss haven't spoken since the affair went public.
Several 'Vanderpump Rules' Cast Have Also Spoken Out
Schwartz isn't the only cast member of "Vanderpump Rules" to address the drama between Sandoval, Leviss, and Madix. During a March 8th appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," Lisa Vanderpump said she was extremely "gobsmacked" when the allegations surfaced.
She said, "I mean, literally, no words. I didn't see it coming. Nobody saw it coming." Sandoval himself has also spoken about the scandal and made a public apology to Madix on Instagram. He wrote, "I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly."
The reality star and businessman reflected on his nine-year relationship with Madix, saying he regrets how they ended things. He noted, "I wish things happened in a different order and our relationship was not severely tarnished, and that it ended with the same respect for her that it began with. I owed Ariana better."
Raquel Leviss Apologized To Ariana Madix In A Statement
Leviss also publicly apologized to Madix in an Instagram statement, sharing that she deeply regrets hurting her. She wrote, "I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships."
Leviss said she knows she's "not a victim" and wholly owns her actions in being with Sandoval. The reality star said she's currently "reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved."
Leviss added that she's undergoing counseling to change her behavior and "learn to set stronger emotional boundaries." She said, "I don't expect sympathy, understanding, or forgiveness. Right now, I must focus on my own health and well-being and as I strive to be a better person moving forward, I will prioritize my mental health and learn from my mistakes."
