“Basketball Wives” star Ogom “OG” Chijindu’s behavior during shooting caused cast members to walk off set and led production to pause for a period of time.

According to sources, back in November, the show started filming in Los Angeles. The cast members that returned include Evelyn Lozada, Shaunie O’Neal, Jackie Christie, Kristen Scott, Malaysia Pargo, and Jennifer Williams.

The producers also decided to bring back OG despite the dysfunctional dynamics between OG and other veteran cast members after a very disastrous season 8. Producers reportedly brought OG back for another season, hoping the ladies could reconcile. She is also currently being sued by Evelyn for defamation.

A source says certain cast members were "concerned about filming with OG and being around her due to the volatile nature of cast dynamics. Out of fear of any action of dissent or dislike being pegged as acts of colorism or racism, some felt it in their best interest to avoid her altogether."

Producers reassured the ladies they wanted to focus on their personal lives and everything they have gone through during the lockdown. We’re told the producers said they wanted to address the issues with OG and the topic of colorism. They told everyone it would be dealt with in a respectful and educational manner.

Sources say after filming started certain cast members became “uncomfortable” with filming with OG after she kept changing her story on “colorism.”

Sources say many felt OG “further exposed her hypocrisy” during a conversation with Kristen. We’re told Kristen sat down with OG in an attempt to listen to her experiences and try to find common ground. Kristen talked to OG about them being the same skin tone and felt they could have a real convo to help the collective move forward in these conversations.

We’re told cast members felt OG discredited Kristen’s blackness “telling her because of her Eurocentric features, colorism doesn’t apply to her.”

Sources say the cast members were getting “exhausted” with OG because it felt like she wasn’t willing to have an open-minded dialogue with them, but instead wanted to “isolate her own perspective in a way that is weaponizing and further divisive.”

Producers allegedly felt that OG was using “colorism” as a storyline due to her changing opinion on the matter. A source said it felt like OG created a "fake colorism" storyline for this season.

Multiple cast members walked off set during filming because of OG’s antics. Sources say prior to the cast walking off, OG had already started getting “confrontational” with the two new cast members, Nia and Noria Dorsey. We’re told production halted for a few days because the cast wanted production and the network to get OG’s “spiral in control.” Eventually, the cast members came back, and the show was finished.

The season 9 premiere of the hit VH1 reality show aired this week and fans are still not pleased with OG. One said, "Catching up on Basketball Wives & I still don't like OG." "Finally watching basketball wives why is OG still here lol," remarked another.

One fan wasn't even sure they were going to continue to watch if OG was on the whole season. They said, "I debated on watching Basketball Wives because I honestly dislike OG.. she’s just extra."

Another wrote OG "has no problem dragging another black woman down either, sooooo. OG did some nasty trifling things on bbw and now she's using colorism as a way to get at @evelynlozada like she used @mrskristenscott husbands paternity as a way to hurt her. Og, hurt people hurt people. You're no victim. Get off of this soapbox because you're making a mockery out of actual colorism victims."
