Jessie J Talks Being On Voice Rest After First Show During Pregnancy

Jessie J has been very active both off and on social media amid her pregnancy journey. 

When the singer isn't updating fans on the progress of her baby bump, she's gracing star-studded award events and turning heads during her red-carpet moments. 

However, in late February, the stunning artist stole the hearts of fans after performing an acoustic concert at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London. Unfortunately for the expectant mom, her voice took a beat, and she recently announced that she had taken a well-needed break for the time being. 

The soon-to-be mom might have broken the hearts of some of her supporters after revealing to them that she was on voice rest following her first show in London since her pregnancy.

Announcing the news via her Instagram Story, the "Bang Bang" crooner who is expecting her first child with her partner and professional basketball player Chanan Safir Colman shared a nine minutes clip where she playfully disclosed her predicament.   

Donning a fancy green jacket and rocking a pair of puffy gold earrings, Jessie J appeared comfortable as she applied under-eye patches on her face and lounged on a couch in a blue-color-themed room. 

The expectant mom, who had her black tresses in a sleek low ponytail, stared at her camera and gave funny expressions while she listened to an AI voice that revealed her current condition. 

The message in the video read, "I am on voice rest. I sang twenty songs last night like an $@#%&*$ [censored word], and now my voice is fried. Good Talk." The brief words were written in all caps.

Rewinding to the 27th of February, the "Price Tag" hitmaker was a beauty to behold after baring her bump at her acoustic gig in London that saw fans in their numbers as they grooved to her mind-blowing performance. 

Earlier covered by The Blast, the pregnant mom looked smoking hot as she stunned in a sheer blue ensemble. Uploading a series of pictures on her Instagram Story, the "Flashlight" singer showed off her impressive look as she dressed in a transparent blue nylon outfit, almost like a jumpsuit which she paired with chunky silver heels.

The eye-catching outfit had long sleeves with an inner bralette covering her bosom while her flawless burgeoning baby bump was left on full display through the fabric.

In one of the snaps, the songstress captured herself from below, emphasizing her swollen midsection, which she caressed while turning her face away from the camera. 

Keeping her accessories simple yet classy, the British singer wore a pair of shiny silver hoops. Opting for neutral makeup that matched the theme of her ensemble, she focused more on boldly defined eyes and rocked blue eyeliner. 

Pleased with her glow-up, she ensured to acknowledge those responsible for her glam look by captioning, "Makeup @Karindarnel – Styling @madeleinebowdenstyle – Hairstyling Me – Colour @bradthomascahill."

Sharing a final look with her fans, the "Nobody's Perfect" vocalist posted a more detailed view of her full-length outfit in another slide. She struck a pose with her legs slightly apart and credited "@lapointe" for the fit while she added a blue heart emoji. 

Jessie J, who is having a swell time enjoying her pregnancy journey, finally disclosed the sex of her unborn child in February. Per The Blast, the singer set a new standard for expectant mothers after dedicating a special rendition to her yet-to-born baby boy.

She shared a heartwarming video on her Instagram where she showed her unborn child kicking in her belly while she sang a song and readied herself for the Brits Awards which took place on February 11.

Sitting comfortably while wearing a white bathrobe that covered her bosom, she cradled her bump and soulfully sang the lyrics to her song. She chanted, "I feel this way; somethings's changed…" And muttered "Hi" to her moving baby, midway into the song.

The big gender reveal came in the video's caption, where the artist wrote, "Since I wrote this song, every time I play it or sing he moves like crazy… so I think this song is the one. Oh yeah, I'm having a boy."
