Aubrey O'Day Opens Up About Suffering A Miscarriage, Says She's 'Heartbroken'

Pop singer Aubrey O'Day opens up about feeling immense sadness after sharing that she suffered a miscarriage.

The former Danity Kane member got candid about the devastating experience and admitted that she initially blamed herself for losing her baby.

In early January, the star confirmed that she was pregnant with her first child. She also gushed about her new partner, whose identity is still unknown, saying that he makes her feel comfortable.

Aubrey O'Day has opened up about the devastating loss of her pregnancy. The singer shared with E! News, "I'm beyond heartbroken to announce that I've had a miscarriage."

The former Danity Kane member admitted that she initially placed the blame on herself for the loss of her pregnancy and struggled to come to terms with the experience. However, she has managed to gain some perspective and understands that there are other factors at play.

"I've had moments where I've internalized what happened … but luckily, I realized there isn't only one seat at the table," O'Day said.

Despite the pain she is going through, the 39-year-old singer is staying strong and trying to come to terms with the sad loss of her pregnancy. 

In early January, the news that O'Day was pregnant and expecting her first child made headlines.

Per Page Six, the speculations of her pregnancy started circulating when the singer-songwriter was seen on the SPiN Awards Gala red carpet in Los Angeles dressed in a stunning white ruched dress and bedazzled PVC pumps. 

She accessorized with a matching necklace and styled her signature blond locks in voluminous waves, turning heads. But it was the "Damaged" hitmaker's hand placement that fueled speculations as she cradled her stomach.

During the event, O'Day told reporters, per The Sun, that she had been having "mom fever," dropping hints about her pregnancy. The reality star noted that it was "the first time she was mentally healthy and in a physically prepared place to care for a new life."

In the aftermath of her miscarriage, O'Day eagerly anticipates the arrival of her "miracle" child. The 39-year-old expresses her optimism stating, "when my baby is ready, he/she will come."

O'Day recognizes the importance of providing a happy and healthy home for all children and believes that being a mother and a leader is something anyone with the right mindset and resources can achieve.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the former star of "Famously Single" opened up further about the recent tragedy she faced, revealing that she is currently going through a "sensitive and raw time" due to her miscarriage.

In a separate post on her IG page, the reality TV star said she wouldn't change anything. O'Day added that sometimes things don't go as planned to make us appreciate the good times even more.

She went on to say that the things we desire most may not always work out, but this could pave the way to better things falling into place in the future. "Everything happens for a reason. I'll always love you, my lil one," she concluded.

Although O'Day did not reveal the identity of her child's father when she announced her pregnancy in January, she disclosed to The Sun at the time that she was seeing "someone special."

During her pregnancy, the star gushed about her new partner and how he had helped her feel comfortable being intimate again following her split from DJ Pauly D in 2017.

"After my relationship with [DJ] Pauly D [ended in 2017], I hadn't had sex or been intimate with anyone for about three years," she disclosed at the time, per The Sun.

According to O'Day, her current partner was the first person she felt truly vulnerable around since her breakup with the "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" star.

She praised him for making her feel safe and comfortable. Despite her affection for him, the "Couple Goals" singer has yet to make her relationship with him public as his identity is still a big mystery.
