Tory Lanez hairline restoration has left people with a ton of questions about exactly how he achieved his new look.
The 28-year-old rapper, who is still dealing with his criminal case, spoke out about fixing his hair last year. The Blast spoke to Jacques Abrahamian, MPAS Hair Transplant Specialist, who owns the LA FUE Hair Clinic. The hair restoration specialist, who has not worked with Tory personally, offered his opinion on the rapper's hairline.
He tells The Blast, "During an interview in 2019, Tory Lanez mentioned he had a hair treatment to re-enforce his thinning hair, his edges, as he called them."
Jacques added, "it comes to hair loss, there are many treatment options available on the market at the moment. Those who experience hair loss have options in re-enforcing their hairline, ranging from at-home medications, non-surgical procedures if they are in the early stages of hair loss, to surgical options, such as F.U.E. hair transplant, if the hair loss is severe."

The hair specialist continued, "One of the non-surgical options to strengthen the hair include an over the counter topical medication called Minoxidil. Minoxidil dilates blood vessels, which sends blood flow to the scalp, allowing for the hair follicles to get more oxygen and nutrients. Another option is a prescription medication called Finasteride (or its stronger counterpart, Dutasteride) which is an oral medication that helps block the hormone that contributes to hair loss, dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a byproduct of testosterone. "
He believes, "It is possible that Tory Lanez has used a combination of Minoxidil and Finasteride, and as he stated on the podcast with BigBoyTV in November 2019, he also received stem cell therapy which can re-invigorate hair follicles that are dormant. Stem cells are cells that the body has that can potentially develop into different types of cells depending on their surroundings."
Further, "They are most commonly obtained from the umbilical cord of consenting donors. Maintenance is required for these non-surgical options, as their effects wear off over time. Stem Cell therapy results are not overnight and can take at least 6 to 9 months to see any change in increased density, and yearly maintenance is highly recommended."
In the past, Tory Lanez spoke about his decision to restore his hairline with HipHopDX. He told the outlet, “If you look back at my old pictures, my only issue was my corners were gone.”
He added, “I fixed my corners and I just let the rest of my hair grow in. Some parts going a little faster than others, so it be a little unequal when I don’t lay it down … I’m coming back with the braids. I’m coming back crazy on y’all. Y’all think it’s a joke.”
Tory claimed Tyga introduced him to his hair doctor. He said, “I met a doctor that does hair restoration—that n***a is specifically for African American and Latino hair. So, basically, I was going away on my corners. They help me do the restoration. It’s not Bosley, though … that’s when they slice your head and do all this weird shit. I didn’t do that. My shit is more so natural.”
Aside from his hair issues, Tory is still dealing with the criminal charges relating to the Meg Thee Stallion shooting. He is facing serious time behind bars if convicted.
