Gabby Windey Reveals If She And Rachel Recchia Are Still Friends

Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia first met when they were fighting for Clayton Echard's heart on his season of "The Bachelor".

After getting both of their hearts broken by Echard, ABC decided to make both women the leads for "The Bachelorette".

Now that the "Bachelorette" has ended, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia have seemingly gone separate ways as they begin their next chapter. Windey just competed on the most recent season of “Dancing With the Stars” and is now on the live tour, while Recchia picked up and moved to California with her now roommate Genevieve Parisi.

The two have not been spotted together since December when they both appeared at the People's Choice Awards together. Recchia even posted on Instagram at the time, writing, "bachelor nation NONE of this would be possible without all of you!!! truly such an honor to be at @peopleschoice & stand next to you @gabby.windey i could not be more proud of you?."

Despite being in different states, remain close friends and continue to support one another. In a recent Q&A on her Instagram, Windey was asked "Are you still close with Rachel?" to which she replied with, "Of course! She's been one of my biggest supporters through all this change," followed by three red hearts and alongside a photo of the two of them from their time on "The Bachelorette".

A few months ago, Rachel Recchia appeared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, where she addressed the split between close friend Gabby Windey and her ex-fiance Erich Schwer, going as far as saying she is grateful for Windey because she is keeping busy by competing on “Dancing with the Stars” amid her split from Schwer.

“She is so busy right now, which in a way, I’m super grateful for this for her, because I think it’s really helpful to throw yourself into something,” she explained. “She really is practicing all day, every single day.”

Recchia concluded with, “I’m just happy she has something to focus on instead of just whatever is happening behind the scenes.”

The 26-year-old reality television star was seen supporting Gabby Windey in her season of “Dancing With the Stars,” even attending live tapings as often as she can.

“As much as we can talk and exchange texts we do, and I go and support her in person really any chance I can get,” Rachel Recchia explained on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “Whatever support and whatever she needs right now, I’m going to try to give to her, just because we all know how difficult it is, especially in the public eye.”

Gabby Windey came in second place on "Dancing With the stars" and is now co-hosting the "Dancing With the Stars" live tour alongside professional dancer Emma Slater. The two recently spent time relaxing on a boat together and visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth -- Walt Disney World.
