Sydney Sweeney Announces New Swimsuit Collection

Sydney Sweeney will soon be launching her swimwear collaboration with celebrity-loved label Frankies Bikinis. The “Euphoria” star recently spoke about the line with Elle Magazine, saying the pieces were inspired by summer romance in Italy. The collection will launch in two sets, one on March 14th and another in April.
When asked by Elle about why she’d decided to delve into swimwear, Sweeney said, “I grew up on the water, always running around in a bikini.” She also explained that she really “wanted to create something that truly felt like me.”
In a press release, Frankies founder, Francesca Aiello, said she started planning the designs after Sweeney’s iconic swimwear scene in “Euphoria.” The actress had worn the Gemma one-piece, causing a 500-person waitlist to order the hot pink swimsuit.
Aiello, who’s also had several iconic swimwear moments, wrote per Page Six, “I immediately envisioned a collaboration for Sydney to create pieces that truly embody her gorgeous femininity, her bombshell romantic aura, not to mention her numerous talents.”
The Swimwear Line Features A Real Kiss Print From Sydney Sweeney

Sweeney’s collaboration with Frankies features some pieces that are just as head-turning as the viral pink piece from “Euphoria.” The campaign photos show the actress in multiple pieces, from a lacy black bikini to a white lacy piece, along with lace gloves and a veil.
The swimwear’s full selection will be available in multiple sizes, from XS to XXL. Several pieces also have personal touches from the “White Lotus” actress, such as a literal kiss print. During the interview with Elle, Sweeney was asked how she made the kiss print design.
She said, “I was coating on different shades of red lipstick and kissing paper and sending pics to Francesca. And it was this funny back and forth about how much my lips should be parted or [how much] color [I should apply], so my bathroom became covered with pages of my lipstick marks.”
Sydney Sweeney Wants The Collection To Make People Feel Confident

In addition to the romantic feeling of the swimsuit collection and her photo shoot, Sweeney and Aiello want the pieces to inspire confidence. During the interview, the actress said she believes that it’s extremely powerful to “show the world you are unapologetically yourself.”
The actress was also questioned on why she thinks it’s so important for people to embrace their sexiness and show it off. In response, Sweeney said, “We wanted pieces that made people feel confident and free in their bodies.”
When asked what bikini piece is her favorite from the upcoming line, Sweeney said she couldn’t settle on one. She said, “I don’t know if I could pick just one! But I love the cherry bikini pieces—it’s a bit of both Francesca and I.”
She’s Been Busy Filming For New Projects

Aside from her new swimwear collab, Sweeney has also been busy filming her upcoming psychological horror film, “Immaculate.” She’s also producing the movie, which will be directed by Michael Mohan. Sweeney and Mohan previously worked together on Prime Video’s “The Voyeurs.”
During the Elle interview, Sweeney revealed that she was in Rome to film for “Immaculate,” so she stayed for about four months. The new film is just the latest in the actress’s many projects, as she’s also billed for the Sony superhero film, “Madame Web,” alongside Dakota Johnson.
Sweeney was recently nominated for two Emmy Awards for her performance in HBO’s “Euphoria” and “The White Lotus,” which only increased her demand. The actress has now been announced as the star lead for Universal Pictures’ “The Caretaker” and the reboot of Sony’s “Barbarella.”
