Arianny Celeste And Ciryl Gane Drama
Last year at the UFC 270 weigh-in, rumors began circulating around UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste and UFC fighter Ciryl Gane.
Fans noticed that Gane and Celeste appeared to lock eyes after he stripped off his clothes and performed his weigh-in ahead of his fight against Francis Ngannou at UFC 270.
Gane was back in the Octagon last weekend for UFC 285 as he took on Jon Jones, sparking that viral video from last year as many expected Celeste to work the event.
The UFC fighter, who is happily married, addressed the video, telling Mirror Fighting, "I didn't see it [as that] because you see me turn [around] but it was for my coach, not the ring girl. That's why it makes the video a little bit funny, because when you look at it you think I look at the girl and she looks at me, but no. I don't know if my wife saw it, but it's OK."
UFC 285
Ciryl Gane took on Jon Jones in UFC 285 last weekend at the main event. Jones defeated Gane with a guillotine choke, with just 2 minutes and 4 seconds left of the first round Saturday night.
"I've been working for this for a long time," Jones said in his postfight interview. "A lot of people thought I wasn't coming back. I've been faithful to my goal. I've been faithful to the mission. There were days I didn't want to train, and I was always there."
According to EPSN, Jones's submission was the third fastest in a UFC heavyweight title bout. Jones spoke out after the historic fight, saying, "I've been wrestling since I was 12 years old. I feel stronger and more comfortable on the ground than ever. ... Once I got my hands on him, I knew that's where I'm most comfortable and I can take control."
