Drake recently bagged a hefty sum after placing a wager on Jon Jones VS Ciryl Gane's fight at UFC 285. Ahead of the fight, he took to Instagram to show fans that he had staked $250,000 on Jones to defeat Gane by submission and another $250,00 on him to win by knockout.

Drake received $1.7 million from Jones' eventual victory, which was better for him than the $1.3 million he would have received if the UFC star had won by knockout. The Canadian singer previously lost his $400,000 wager on Jake Paul to defeat Tommy Fury a week ago.

Drake Flaunted His Ticket On Instagram

Drake, who is no stranger to betting on sports, won heavily after staking $500,000 on Jones to defeat Gane during the UFC 285 in Las Vegas.

Jones was given a 6.80 odd to win by submission and a 5.20 odd to win by knockout as he made his return to compete in UFC for the first time in more than three years.

The Canadian rapper, seemingly confident that one of the two odds would come through, staked $250,000 on each, with the former having an estimated payout of $1.7 million while the latter was $1.300,000.

He took to Instagram to flaunt both tickets with the caption, "Jon Jones for the comeback?"

Ultimately, Jones took out Gane by submission during the first three minutes of the fight, a win that gave him the UFC heavyweight title and bagged Drake a profit of $ 1.2 million.

Drake's win is sure to lift his spirit after losing a $400,000 wager on Jake Paul to defeat Tommy Fury last Sunday by knockout.

The singer hoped to bag over $1 million in profit if the YouTube star had knocked out the brother of well-known boxer Tyson Fury.

Just like before, the "One Dance" crooner had posted an image of the betting slip, which noted that Paul was given 3.60 odds to win the fight. However, Fury ultimately emerged victorious by a split decision during the fight held in Saudi Arabia.

While Drake went home with nothing, Tyson cashed out big as he had staked $100,000 on his brother to win the fight.

"I've got 100 racks on it for an inside-the-distance stoppage, so if he loses, then I'll lose 100 bags as well. I've got him at 3/1," Tyson said in an interview with IFL TV, per Daily Mail.

He continued, "I know Tommy is going to knock him out. What is a little bit stupid is I see all these experts and professional boxers picking Jake Paul over Tommy."

Drake also showed his love for sports betting at the Super Bowl, wagering $965k on multiple bets. Luckily, one of the wagers paid off with a $1.477 million victory that bagged the artist a profit of $512,000.

The "God's Plan" singer also earned $2 million in January after staking $1 million on the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship.

Drake has lost some of his wagers, including a $1 million stake he placed on Argentina defeating France. Although La Albiceleste emerged victorious, the win came via a penalty shootout, thereby nullifying Drake's bet.

Drake also lost $2 million in Canadian money in November after betting on Israel Adesanya to defeat Alex Pereira in UFC 281. The latter eventually won in the fifth round of the fight by knockout.

Aside from his passion for playing high-stakes gambling, Drake recently admitted that he regrets mentioning his ex-girlfriends in his songs.

He opened up about the times he's "mentioned girls' names in songs" in an interview with Lil Yachty for the debut of FUTUREMOOD's Moody Conversation series. He also discussed the conversation that persuaded him to limit name-dropping in his future songs.

"I look back on [that], and I'm like: 'Maybe I could have done without, like, s***ting on people for age or disrupting somebody's life,'" he said, per Yahoo.

"The lyrics are never with ill intent," Drake added, "but I had somebody one time be like: 'You know, it's not necessarily what you're saying about me, it's the fact that you said it.'"
