Mary Cosby Talks Marriage To Husband Robert, Reveals If Son Watches 'RHOSLC'

Mary Cosby is speaking out about the evolution of her marriage to husband Robert Cosby Sr. 

During an interview with Us Weekly magazine last week, the "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" cast member admitted that when it came to falling in love with Robert, that didn't happen until two or three years after she said "I do."

“I think it started changing when I started wanting a son," she explained to the outlet.

As "RHOSLC" fans well know, Robert was married to Cosby's late grandmother before tying the knot with the reality star over two decades ago.

"It was about two or thee years into the marriage. We were best friends. We traveled everywhere. We seen everything together and then I just got ‘mommy hungry’ and I really wanted a son," Cosby recalled.

"So we tried for like a year and then I think that’s when I knew that this was my life, once I had that craving [to be] a mom and a family,” she explained. 

Cosby and her husband share just one child, son Robert Cosby Jr. 

While there have been plenty of comments made in regard to the unconventionality of Cosby's marriage, and how it began, Cosby told Us Weekly magazine that she has no shame in her decision.

"It’s something I’m not ashamed of. What I did, I got it right. So had I did the wrong thing, I think time, by now, would have told me, ‘Bad!’ So I have no regrets. I have no shame. I’m here to present and open myself up to whoever’s interested," she stated.

After admitting that she doesn't know where her role on "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" will take her, Cosby said that her son Robert Jr. is no fan of the Bravo reality series, or her cast mates.

“I tell the world to pray for my son. He doesn’t even watch the show. He thinks [Jen Shah]’s mean to me. He thinks I can’t handle it. He tells his friends, ‘Don’t want the show. They’re mean to my mom,’" Cosby revealed. 

Cosby then added that Robert Jr. is "protective" of her and doesn't want to see her being mistreated. 

"He’s protective of me and he doesn’t think it’s fair. So he doesn’t even watch it. We don’t even have conversations about it,” she noted.
