Simpson is currently training for the 2024 Olympics in St. Barts. Pettis and he seem to be staying at a beautiful property called the Vital Wellness House, paid for by the sports drink, Vital Performance. Cody is really brave to participate in a little promotional stunt with the MMA veteran.

Many MMA fans will remember Pettis' famous kick in the final round of his fight with Benson Henderson on December 16, 2010. Anthony ran up the wall "like a ninja," the announcer noted before delivering a catastrophic kick to the side of Henderson's head. Benson went down hard and was knocked unconscious. Simpson's fans were happy that the same thing didn't happen to him.
"2 inches lower and he takes your head clean off!" one follower commented, while another said, "I don’t trust anyone that much."

As we previously mentioned, Cody is hopeful to qualify for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris. Simpson was discovered on YouTube and moved to the states to be a musician in 2010. He was signed to Atlantic Records and made two albums but he never gave up on his passion for swimming. The singer told the NY Times that he recommitted himself to swimming after watching American Caeleb Dressel smash a world record set by Cody's childhood idol, Michael Phelps. He decided that it was not too late when he realized that Dressel is only five months older than he is.
The singer also revealed that he has a wonderful relationship with Phelps and that he often gets stroke tips via text from the Olympic hero. Phelps seems to recognize Simpson's drive.
“I think his mind is truly like a swim nerd’s,” Phelps said in the NY Times article.
Cody knows that he has a lot of work to do to get to the level of Phelps and Dressel. His record in the 100 fly is 50.85 and Dressel’s world record is 49.50.
