'RHOSLC' Star Lisa Barlow Missed ‘WWHL’ Appearance Because Of Nail Glue

Lisa Barlow was faced with a nightmare situation earlier this week that landed her in the emergency room. 

As the debut season of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" came to an end on Wednesday night, February 3, Barlow was forced to miss out on a scheduled appearance on Andy Cohen's late night talk show, "Watch What Happens Live" after accidentally putting nail glue in her eye.

During an interview withPage Sixthe day after her missed appearance, Barlow looked back on the dramatic turn of events. 

Looking back on the scary situation, “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” cast member said that she accidentally put a drop of nail glue into her eye after mistaking the product for eyedrops. 

According to the reality star, she did so after her housecleaners placed the glue in the spot where she keeps her eyedrops. 

“It was awful,” Barlow said of the incident on Thursday. “I was on the phone with my girlfriend and I literally went to put my eyedrops in and it was the nail glue.”

Once she realized what had happened, Barlow immediately went to her local hospital where a doctor assured her that she would not go blind as a result of the mishap. 

“You’re not going to be blind, but you damaged a cornea,” the physician said.

“I guess there are four levels of your cornea and it went into level three,” she explained. “It scratched up my whole eye and they had to use surgical tweezers to pull out the eyelashes on the corner.”

Barlow went on to say that because of the “amazing” technology currently available, doctors were able to put “stem cell over my whole cornea with a soft contact lens to do rapid healing.”

During Wednesday's episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” host Cohen said that while Barlow was supposed to be a guest alongside "Flipping Out" alum Jeff Lewis, she got glue in her eye and was unable to make it.

“It’s just an awful pain and it looked so swollen,” she said. “It looked terrible, and I’m, like, I can’t go on ‘Watch What Happens Live.'”

Shortly after the incident, Barlow is doing great and said she's “so much better” during her chat with Page Six. 

She then said that both Jen Shah and Meredith Marks have reached out to check on her.

“I feel good now, it’s just uncomfortable,” she said. “I should be 100 percent by Friday.”
