Former "Live With Kelly and Ryan" host Ryan Seacrest is reportedly being courted to anchor "Good Morning America."
The showrunners reportedly want the American Idol host to take up the gig to help shine a positive light on the daytime show after the T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach affair scandal.
It is alleged that the executives will also revamp the show to suit Seacrest and better portray his strengths. Earlier in the month, Seacrest quit his "Live With Kelly and Ryan" role to spend more time focusing on other gigs.

'It's A Great Fit For Ryan'
Per Radar Online, ABC showrunners are reportedly interested in hiring Seacrest to anchor "GMA3" after the Holmes Robach affair scandal smeared the show's reputation.
It is claimed that the bosses at the network believe that Seacrest's stellar reputation speaks volumes and will help push the daytime show back to respectable heights.
"It's a great fit for Ryan and the perfect fit for GMA, which is looking to restore its family-friendly reputation!" said an insider.
The source also shared that Seacrest would be interested in taking up the job as it would help catapult his career to new heights. The insider added, "He sees GMA as the perfect vehicle for him to be center stage again."
While fans of the show await a decision from the showrunners, it is unclear whether a female host would join Seacrest if a deal is eventually signed.
'GMA3' Set To Have Major Changes
For now, what's sure is that there will be significant changes to "GMA3" that it did not boast of before. These changes would reportedly be implemented to give Seacrest the most comfortable platform to deliver his best.
"Network bosses are looking at completely retooling GMA3 with a live audience, music, and celebrity guests in an effort to play to Ryan's strengths and wash away the stain of the scandal," said the insider.
Seacrest was previously one half of the "Live With Ryan& Kelly" duo, a show he anchored alongside Kelly Ripa for the last six years.
He announced his departure from the show in an Instagram post on February 16, 2023, telling his fans that he would miss his co-host.
"I'm going to miss my work wife and all the laughter we share," the anchor who joined the show in 2017 said on the social media platform, alongside sharing several throwback photos of him and Ripa.
Ryan Seacrest Wants To Spend More Time On Other Gigs
Seacrest also wrote that he was quitting "Live With Kelly and Ryan" to concentrate on his role as host of "American Idol" and his other gigs, On Air with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.
The media personality also shared that he would spend more time on his charity works, mainly opening more Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios.
"I'll be transitioning out of Live this Spring to shoot the 21st season of American Idol in LA, continue my radio show on KIIS-FM and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve, and focus my summer on opening three more Ryan Seacrest Foundation Studios in pediatric hospitals across the country," he penned.
Seacrest, who was replaced by Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos, left the door open for future guest appearances. He concluded the post, "I'm looking forward to coming back to guest host in the future, and Kelly, I promise to forever share my food photos, chicken eggs, and olive oil with you. And congratulations to my brother Mark, feel free to remodel my dressing room!"
Why Ryan Seacrest Left 'Live With Kelly and Ryan'
Since Seacrest announced his departure from "Live With Kelly and Ryan," there have been several speculations about why he made the decision.
Although no official reason has been given, a source informed Page Six last month that exhaustion from hosting "Live With Kelly" and juggling his other gigs led to Seacrest quitting the show.
"Everyone cares about him and respects him and just wants to make sure he's OK," the source said about Seacrest's well-being which had come into question after he missed a couple of episodes.
The insider also said that Seacrest did not blindside Ripa with his announcement to leave the show for good.
The source added, "They started talking about Ryan leaving last summer, and when they announced Ryan's departure, both Kelly and Ryan wanted to put whatever issues — arising from the workplace and Ryan's other responsibilities — they had behind them."
