Britney Spears' former longtime assistant doesn't believe the pop star needs to be under a court-ordered conservatorship.

Felicia Culotta, who worked with Brit at the height of her career, sat down with producers for the forthcoming FX documentary, "Framing Britney Spears." The film is set to premiere this week and features interviews with a bunch of people who were inside Britney's inner circle before and after her public breakdown.

During the chat, Felicia spoke about growing up with the "Toxic" singer and knowing in her heart that she was going to be a superstar.

In the teaser released by FX, Felicia tells producers, “You know I don’t know that I ever really had any definition on what I was supposed to do with Britney. For a long time they called me her chaperone, And then at one point they wanted to call me her partner, and we didn’t think that sounded right. I definitely was not her mother and I wasn’t her big sister, so we settled on "assistant".”

She added, “To be honest, I didn’t then, nor do I know, understand what a conservatorship is, especially for someone Britney’s age and somebody capable of so much that I know firsthand she’s capable of.”

In the new documentary, Felicia said, “The one reason I agreed to do the interview is so we could remind people why they fell in love with her in the first place.”

Felicia worked with Britney during the early 2000s. She decided to cut ties with the singer in 2007 after she started acting out. At the time, she said she was unable to continue working for the star. The two were also super close and went everywhere together for a period of time. Felicia decided to come back to work for Britney when she was doing her Vegas residency.

Britney is still fighting to have her dad removed as co-conservator of her estate.

Ahead of the documentary, Britney's social media manager spoke out claiming the singer has full access to her cell phone and decides what to post on her social media without help.

The employee said, “there are a lot of inaccurate theories out there about how Britney Spears’ social media operates, and I want to give as much information as I can without violating her privacy or mine.”

Despite rumors, Britney isn't allowed to touch her account the manager claims, “Britney creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram. She finds the google images, Pinterest images, quotes, memes, and everything else herself."

She added, “Nobody is suggesting any of that stuff to her. She generally edits the videos herself. "
