At the time, the Atlanta trio alleged that Granderson was committing malpractice and cheated them out of millions of dollars. QC CEO Denied Any Wrongdoing At The Label
“It is unfortunate that the same people that we have worked hard for, provided opportunities for, and championed for are now alleging that we have participated in any kind of immoral or unfair business practices or took advantage of them and their careers, especially while we are dealing with the death of an artist on our label that was dear to us. We have always practiced honest business and complete transparency from the beginning when we started Quality Control Music”
Migos Accused Granderson Of Concealing Information In Deal With Capitol Records
Things appeared to be very ugly as speculation also surfaced about Migos possibly leaving the label after being there for years.
The group even accused Granderson of withholding information regarding QC‘s deal with Capitol Records that “would allow Capitol to distribute all albums that QCM produced and that QCM was actually profiting far more handsomely than was apparent from the face of the documents that Granderson personally presented to Migos for immediate execution.” That situation appeared to be the nail in the coffin in the relationship with the group.
Migos Toss Out The Lawsuit
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lawsuit by Migos has officially been dismissed. Voluntary dismissal turned out to be filed by the group back in the fall without prejudice. In this situation, Migos would be able to return to this lawsuit at a later date.
Last fall, Quavo also emphasized that everything was all good with QC so it appeared that the lawsuit got resolved then as well. The label helped break their first hit single in 2013, which was “Versace.” Drake soon appeared on the remix and got Versace to be a nationwide hit.

Despite these projects, fans have still wanted a third installment of Culture. There was speculation at the end of 2018 that it could arrive in 2019 but never did.
Now, it appears to be a reality as last week, Migos took to their social media feeds to reveal a trailer for Culture III. No official release date has been set but nonetheless, fans are happy that this project will in fact happen.
