Chrissy Teigen Gets Slammed Online For Tweet About A Wine Worth $13,000

Celebrities always live lavish lifestyles; they have loads of cash after all, so they spend it the way they want.

They go on trips around the world, buy luxurious cars, clothes, and many other things the average man might consider "unnecessary or lavish"

They also post about these adventures on their social media accounts, giving fans and trolls the opportunity to air their opinions, no matter how berating it is. 

Chrissy Teigen is one of those celebrities who not only flaunted her wealth online, but got served a hot dish of ridicule for her choices.  

Teigen is an American supermodel, TV personality and entrepreneur, she's married to American singer and songwriter John Legend. She got married on September 14, 2014. They have been together ever since and are blessed with two lovely children, Luna and Miles.

Teigen began her career in 2010, when she modelled for the annual "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue." After this, she became incredibly famous, and her career skyrocketed in no time.

Teigen currently has a net worth of $10 million, and she lives a happy life with her family.

Teigen posted a tweet recently which read "what’s the most expensive thing you’ve eaten that you thought sucked?" She continued saying,

"one time john and I were at a restaurant and the waiter recommended a nice Cabernet. We got the bill and it was 13,000 dollars. HOW DO U CASUALLY RECOMMEND THAT WINE. we didn’t even finish it and it had been cleared!!!"

This brought about lots of hate from online users, as they could not relate to the tweet at all, and people started sharing tweets to slam the model.

Online users had a lot to say about the tweet and mostly unpleasant things. One follower tweeted this "is someone forcing you to tell the world these things?"

Another said this "People are not going to relate to this." Others could relate to the tweet as they responded to it, while some others simply made jokes.

Someone tweeted saying "chrissy teigen: one time in geneva, my husband john legend's driver was parking our limo. he knocked over an ancient statue and we had to pay 90,000 euros to fix it! luckily we had it on us, in gold krugerrand. regular people: omg she is so relatable."

In no time, she started trending with million responses to her tweet, she then made a screenshot of her name which was showing "trending," and captioned it "Worst nightmare."

She also responded to some tweets thrown her way and was unapologetic about what she spoke about.

"hey, not everything I say on my twitter is going to be relatable to you because it is my life and my twitter and my stories. I see your tweets, I get your jokes, you are so funny, yes, you really nailed me," the entrepreneur said.
