Would LeeAnne Locken ever return to her full-time position on "The Real Housewives of Dallas" cast?
While appearing on the "Chanel in the City" podcast with host Chanel Omari at the end of last month, Locken, who confirmed her departure from the Bravo reality series in February of last year, admitted that she would consider going back to the show, but only if there was a major cast shake-up.
According to Locken, a number of her former cast mates would have to be fired before she'd consider a return.
LeeAnne Locken Was Accused Of Racism During 'RHOD' Season Four
"There would have to be several removals before I would go back only because the way that I learned to uplift and encourage and inspire is by sharing my life," Locken explained, according to a report shared by the Daily Mailon February 1.
Prior to her exit from the "Real Housewives of Dallas" cast, Locken made a racially insensitive comment to cast mate Kary Brittingham during a cast trip to Thailand.
"The little chirpy Mexican has to have her way," she said.
LeeAnne Locken Apologized On Twitter
Following the shocking comment, Locken took to her Twitter page to apologize to her fans and followers.
"I am deeply sorry to those that I have hurt or offended with some of my comments on 'Real Housewives of Dallas' season 4," she wrote.
"It was never my intention to hurt anyone and I will use this as a learning experience to be more aware of my comments in the future. My commitment to moving forward is to continue my work fighting for quality and acceptance of all humans."
LeeAnne Locken Has Learned From Her Mistakes
Looking back on the incident, Locken told Omari she's "learned from" her mistakes.
"And I grew from it. And I realized that it's about respecting one another. And you know, I think that's the most important thing. We don't grow without learning to respect one another," she shared. "And if you look at all the movements that are happening today, they're happening because people don't feel respected. And so for me, I just want to say, I, I think the biggest example of how much I respect all ethnicities, race, sexual orientation is my LGBTQ advocacy."
LeeAnne Locken Left 'RHOD' Because She Found It Was 'Too Toxic' For Her Life
According to Locken, she felt attacked on a number of occasions throughout her time on "The Real Housewives of Dallas," even when it wasn't warranted.
"I just got to a point where the toxicity level was just too much, you know, look, I, I'm not perfect. I made a ton of mistakes on that show, but I grew a ton on that show and I hope that the audience saw me grow and grew with me because that was my goal," she shared.
