Is Hoda Kotb's Health The Reason She's Been Missing From 'TODAY' Show?!

Where in the world has Hoda Kotb been?

That seems to be the question on “Today” show and “Today with Hoda & Jenna” viewer’s minds.

The co-anchor has been missing from the morning news program for over a week and her fans are growing more concerned with every passing day.

They’ve taken to social media to express their fears and send their well wishes.

“Hello, friends Everybody’s wondering where @hodakotb is She’s been out a week. The best thing to do at this time is keep her in your prayers. SHE’LL BE BACK! I’m sure,” one person tweeted.

One worried viewer wrote, “When will you be back??”

“We miss you… everything seems so secretive, hope everything is good,” another wrote.

“Where is Hoda Kotb why she out for almost 2 weeks. Please someone tell us if everything is ok?  Or is she on vacation?” this viewer asked.

“Hoda, not sure what’s going on & not my business (or anyone else’s!) but wanted u to k now how much u r missed and loved. I pray it’s all for a good reason and if not, I pray you (& the girls) are ok. Stay strong Hoda… you ARE stronger than you know!” one fan wished.

It’s unclear why Hoda has been absent for multiple days in a row. None of her co-anchors have touched on the reason behind her absence, they’ve just said “Hoda is out today.”

“World News Tonight” anchor Tom Llamas and “Today 3rd Hour” co-host Craig Melvin have both been subbing for Hoda over the last week, alongside Savannah Guthrie.

The last time she appeared on the “Today with Hoda & Jenna” was on President’s Day, February 20th; however, it was a pre-taped episode due to the holiday.

So technically, the last time Hoda was physically on the show was February 17th.

Hoda posted on Instagram on Monday, February 27th. She shared a photo that read, “Choose Hope.”

She has a daughter named Hope. Hoda simply captioned the post with a red heart emoji.

Again, her fans and followers took to the comments section to express their concern.

Many said the “Today” show is not the same without her, and it’s hard to watch the AM news program without Hoda.

Willie Geist and Sheinelle Jones have been subbing in for Hoda on her fourth-hour show with Jenna.

Hoda’s “Today” channel podcast “Making Space” typically drops new episodes every Monday at 4 AM ET, but it has also not dropped a new episode since Feb. 20th.

She’s been sharing cryptic quotes and messages on social media over the past couple of days.

Last Wednesday, Hoda shared a post about being brave.

“One day you will see just how brave you have been,” the message read.

Hoda split from her long-term boyfriend, Joel Schiffman, broke up after eight years together in 2022. She confirmed the news during an episode of “Today with Hoda & Jenna.”

"Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we're better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple, so we decided we are going to start this new year ... on our new path as loving parents to our adorable, delightful children, and as friends," she said. "It's not like something happened. They say sometimes relationships are meant to be there for a reason, or a season or for a lifetime. And I feel like ours was meant to be there for a season.”

They got engaged in November 2019.
