Zendaya Sparks Engagement Rumors After Rocking Massive Yellow Diamond Ring

The 54th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday, February 25, was graced by many big names in the entertainment industry, including the phenomenal Zendaya. It marked her big return to the spotlight after a short hiatus.

Although Zendaya naturally got heads turning at the ceremony with her unmatched style, fans could not help but notice a new piece of jewelry on her left ring finger, indicating a possible engagement to her sweetheart, Tom Holland. 

The 2023 NAACP Image Awards held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, California, was certainly a night to remember, given its magnificence alongside Zendaya's jaw-dropping fashion moment — wearing two stunning outfits at the award ceremony.

The Golden Globe Award winner appeared to have had a blast but did not hesitate to bid her fans "Goodnight" via her Instagram Story, prompting them to take note of a massive yellow diamond ring.

In the post, she was clad in her nightwear, a plaid top and pajama bottoms. and squatted as she took a candid mirror selfie, with her phone pretty close to the looking glass. The lower half of her face was blocked by her phone, and only her eyes and hair were seen alongside her shiny black-polished nails.

However, the highlight of her post was the piece of jewelry that was noticeable on her left ring finger, unsurprisingly triggering fans to take to Twitter and come up with unverified theories. 

A Zendaya-follower reposted the picture from the actress' Story and wrote, "Zendaya and Tom being engaged…i mean, idk how true it is, but…." Another commenter wondered whether the actress was really engaged and why she had a "massive rock on her wedding ring finger" on Instagram.

"No one can tell me Zendaya isn't engaged to Tom with a big yellow diamond since at least a year," a third fan declared. "They are def marrying this summer or something."

One other admirer zoomed in on the jewelry on the "Euphoria" actress' finger and posted it alongside the original photo, adding, "When you go to bed with THE RING…Zendaya engaged?"

Similarly, a commenter inquired if the rumors were true before pointing out the "huge rock in [Zendaya's] Goodnight IG story," while another fan noted, "Zendaya took off every piece of jewelry from her looks tonight EXCEPT a diamond ring on her left ring finger."

Additionally, many seemed to share a similar opinion about the "Shake It Up" alum's new jewelry, including a commenter who believed she switched the ring's position at home, writing, "All ima say is that Zendaya had her ring on one hand at the event.. on the other at home."

Such chatters may be warranted given that Zendaya and Holland were reported to have begun making plans for their future together late last year. As previously reported, informants revealed in November 2022 that the duo, who began dating in July 2021, was in "settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together."

The sources also mentioned that their affection for each other was "serious and permanent" almost six years after they met on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

While they initially encountered each other on the movie set in 2016, there was no romance between them. However, that did not keep the media from conjuring relationship claims.

Eventually, news of their involvement was confirmed when they were seen kissing in Holland's car in an L.A. city traffic. Nevertheless, they kept their affairs private and still do so now, only sharing shoutouts on significant milestones.

As many fans stayed focused on Zendaya's engagement rumors, several were all about her appearance at the NAACP Image Awards, including her beloved beau.

The "Dune" star rocked two different outfits for the ceremony where she was honored with nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series and Entertainer of the Year given her work in "Euphoria."

She wore a vintage black and green flowing gown from Versace's 2002 collection featuring a high slit and plunging neckline on the red carpet. However, for the actual event, Zendaya opted for another classic ensemble, a white two-piece recreation from Prada's 1993 collection.

Unsurprisingly, the "Spiderman: Far From Home" lead actor was fascinated with his woman's styles. He shared a series of heart-eye emojis, causing fans to laud their romance.
