Heather Rae El Moussa Praises Her Own Parents As 'Role Models' For 'Mommyhood'

New mom Heather Rae El Moussa is praising her parents!

The former model, best known for being on the real estate show "Selling Sunset," recently gave birth to her first child with her husband, Tarek El Moussa. Since welcoming her newborn son, the reality TV star has been sharing her experiences of motherhood on social media, including the part her parents played in getting her ready. 

In her latest post, Heather praised her parents for inspiring her journey as a new mom. The then-pregnant star stood between her parents in the throwback picture posted to her Instagram page. She wrote in the caption:

"You can never fully prepare for mommyhood but lucky to have my parents as role models ?? also so lucky to have my sister @jennayoungpiper as a role model." 

She noted that the past weekend was a significant milestone for the family as it marked the first time her sister's children met her son before expressing her hope that their sons would become the best of friends, just like she and her sister are.

While the actress was over the moon about the meeting, she stated that she did not want to reveal too much, not to upset her mother. Heather then disclosed that, unfortunately, her parents could not attend due to the insane weather in California.

She explained that they were snowed in at their Running Springs house and could not leave due to the unsafe roads.  She stated, "but hopefully the weather gets a little better ?? and they can be here with us ?." 

Her fans rushed to the comments to empathize with her situation like this person who stated, "It's better they stay safe. We can hardly move around on our roads here, in Oak Hills on the backside." 

Others also gushed over the love in the picture, writing, "I can feel your new mommy honeymoon joy. Nothing better." Another fan noted, "Grandma and Grandpa will always be there no matter what. God bless the entire family." 

This follower penned, "You are sooo adorable, and I know how crazy in love you are w your son. It gets better every day!! Wishing you all the joy and magic this new little bundle of joy brings you ALL??." While a fifth wrote, "You really learn to appreciate your parents once you have children of your own ❤️."

This is not the first time the TV personality has penned heartwarming words dedicated to her elderly parents. The Blast noted that she expressed how grateful she was for their support in December as her due date drew closer at the time.

The picture saw the fresh-faced beauty cradled between her loving parents as they each touched her bump. In the caption, she wrote, "Having my parents by my side throughout my pregnancy has been the most special experience and something I will never forget ?." 

The star pointed out that taking things like that for granted was easy, but she felt fortunate to have them. She recalled growing up in a small town surrounded by love, support, and a work ethic. The 35-year-old said, "They have helped shape me into the woman I am today ???." 

The Playboy model and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, welcomed their adorable baby boy Tristan in January. They kept themselves in a bubble away from the public before announcing it. The Blast reported that she popped out briefly to update fans on what was going on via a cute video.

Wearing a black shirt with a floral design, she held her baby out of the camera view and said, "So I have been a little out of commission because I've been busy with a little angel baby boy and just getting used to new mommyhood." 

She went on to explain that her beau was out revealing a house for their HGTV show, "Flipping El Moussa's," and she was sad that she could not be there for it. However, she noted, "And I'm bummed I didn't get to see it, but I would not want to be anywhere else than with my little love today."

Before that, she got candid about her new status in her Instagram story as she breastfed her baby, saying, "I've never been this exhausted, but also this happy in my life."
