Selena Gomez doesn't have time for cattiness.

Earlier this week, the "Vulnerable" singer made headlines for two different incidents on social media; First, she found herself in the middle of an alleged spat with Kylie Jenner after the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star posted an Instagram story proclaiming she'd had an 'accident' with eyebrow-filler.

Social media would soon light up with speculation that Jenner, 25, was intentionally making fun of Gomez, 30, after she had made a series of TikToks using an eyebrow filter. Observant fans would notice Jenner also tagged her friend Hailey Bieber in another slide.

Bieber is, of course, the wife of Gomez's ex-boyfriend, Justin. In the five years since the "Only Murders In The Building" actress called off her relationship with the "Sorry" singer for good, and Justin married Hailey, the internet has kept the two women forever linked.

Both women would remain largely tight-lipped about one another publicly, until last year, when they both gradually began to respond to fan conversation, particularly on TikTok.

Mrs. Bieber would take it a step further by talking to Alex Cooper of the "Call Your Daddy" podcast.

"It's not my character to mess with someone's relationship," Bieber explained to one of Cooper's questions regarding the timeline of her romance with her husband. "I would just never do that. I was raised better than that. I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That's the end of it," she proclaimed.

Bieber's explanation did little to phase 'Jelina' shippers; the internet would continue to search for evidence that Bieber perhaps hadn't been telling the full story.

Months after Bieber's "Call Your Daddy" interview, her pal Kylie Jenner would be brought into the mix. After the internet speculated any possible link between Jenner's Instagram story and Gomez's TikToks and how Bieber could possibly fit into this, Jenner and Gomez would set the record straight.

Both ladies commented on a TikTok 'deep dive' of the situation.

Jenner would proclaim that the idea of any intentional shade in her Insta story was "reaching." Gomez would chime in and proclaim all of the speculation was "so unnecessary."

Gomez did find it necessary to defend her bestie, Taylor Swift, after a clip of Bieber began making the rounds on social media. Bieber visibly expressed her distaste for Swift in the interview clip, although many spectators thought the clip had been taken out of context.

Gomez would comment on a TikTok featuring the footage, writing, "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."

Many social media users would weigh in on Gomez's comment, some praising her with their own TikTok takes.

The intense social media focus on Gomez would soon become too much for the "My Mind And Me" singer to continue to endure, so she would soon declare her intentions to take a social media hiatus; followers of Gomez's career may recall her candid insight into her relationship with social media in the past. After her initial announcement via one of her Instagram posts, Gomez would provide more insight into her decision on a TikTok Live session on Thursday. According to Vanity Fair, Gomez told her followers, "I'm going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. I'm 30. I'm too old for this. But I love you guys so much and I will see you sooner rather than later..."

Gomez quickly assured her followers nothing was wrong.

After letting fans know she was "very happy" and "so blessed," Gomez would give love to her besties and fans.

"I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world, and I just couldn't be happier. I'm good, I love the way I am, I'm big, I'm not, I don't care. I love who I am," she revealed.

Thursday's TikTok Live conversation was not the only one Gomez would do recently where she would discuss some serious topics. She recently addressed her weight gain, which can be attributed to her Lupus medication.

"I just want people to know you're beautiful and you're wonderful," Gomez would say in her Live. "Yeah, we have days where we maybe feel like sh*t, but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself," Gomez continued. (via Comic Sands)

She also thanked her fans for their unwavering support.  Gomez would also tell the haters where to go!

"...[haters could] go away, 'cause honestly, I don't believe in shaming people for their body or anything."

Gomez is currently filming season three of "Only Murders In The Building!"
