Tim Robbins Files for Divorce After Secret Marriage!

Tim Robbins has just filed for divorce from his wife, Gratiela Brancusi, the only issue is no one knew he was even married!

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the 'Shawshank Redemption' star filed for dissolution of marriage on Monday, January 25, in Los Angeles County Courts. As we said, it appears the actor has been dating Brancusi for several years but has never publically discussed tying the knot.

The couple has no minor children, and we are guessing there was some sort of prenuptial agreement making the legal separation a simple one.

Tim Robbins, who was previously with actress Susan Sarandon, walked the red carpet with for the premiere of the HBO dramatic comedy, 'Here And Now,' with Gratiela, with many labeling the stunner his "girlfriend."

The couple was also spotted at the 'Dark Waters' premiere last year, where Robbins sported a royal blue suit with a light blue tie, and his much younger girlfriend was in a black dress decorated with feathers.

In December of 2019, the couple was also photographed at an NHL game where the 62-year-old star sat with his girlfriend, alongside his youngest son -- who he shares with Susan -- and her daughter who brought along her own two children.

It's unclear what caused the split, and it's also not clear if Gratiela will fight the request for a divorce. The case is currently in the hands of a judge. At this point, Robbins' wife has not responded to the divorce filing.

Tim Robbins was previously with actress Susan Sarandon for over 23 years. The actress opened up about the breakup in 2012, saying it made her "feel like a failure."

The couple shares two sons together, Jack and Miles.

"Of course you feel like a failure. It's a big deal, but again, it's an opportunity to grow, At the end of my first marriage, it was about the loss of ideal, about who you thought this person was. I thought love conquered all and I had to reevaluate everything. And you need your girlfriends, you need to take long, long walks until you're exhausted and no longer freaking out and you hold on until a new dawn. Then you get another chance," she told Reuters.

As for the single life, Saradon added, "It's been a lot of different things. It's traumatic and exhilarating." The couple was never married.
